TL;DR: It was determined that, after the 6-week exercise program applied to a total of 24 participants, there were statistically significant changes in the values of body weight, body mass index, hematocrit, hemoglobin, and homocysteine blood levels.
Abstract: Background and Study Aim. The objective of this study is to examine the effect of exercise on the blood levels of homocysteine, hemoglobin and hematocrit in middle-aged sedentary individuals. Material and Methods. A total of 24 middle-aged (35-55 years) sedentary individuals (12 females and 12 males) living in Batman province voluntarily participated in this study. Body weight, body mass index, Homocysteine, Hemoglobin and Hematocrit blood levels were measured before and after a walking exercise scheduled for 6 weeks. Walking exercise was administered 4 days a week for the 6 weeks. Initially, the walking exercises started as 40 min and increased to 60 min towards the end of the program. In the exercises, walking tempo was kept higher than normal and in parallel to the overall health levels of the subjects. The data obtained were then analyzed through the SPSS 25.00 package program. Results. It was determined that there were statistically significant differences in the pretest and posttest parameters of body weight, body mass index, and Homocysteine values. Additionally, it was determined that, after the 6-week exercise program applied to the female and male participants, there were statistically significant differences between the pretest and posttest parameters of body weight, body mass index, hematocrit, hemoglobin, and homocysteine blood levels. Conclusions. As the conclusion, it was determined that, after the 6-week exercise program applied to a total of 24 participants (12 females and 12 males), there were statistically significant changes in the values of body weight, body mass index, hematocrit, hemoglobin, and homocysteine blood levels. It is suggested for further studies to apply nutrition programs and exercise protocols on young people regularly doing exercise and active athletes in different branches in order to contribute to sports science.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the fracture behaviors of carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) composites for varying amounts of GNP reinforcement, crack lengths and crack orientation angles.
Abstract: This study experimentally investigated the fracture behaviors of graphene nanoplatelet (GNP) carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) composites for varying amounts of GNP reinforcement, crack lengths and crack orientation angles. The specimens were subjected to tensile loading, and their fracture toughness values were determined with respect to maximum damage load and crack length. To compare the results obtained from experimental data, the fracture toughness values, strain distributions and crack tip opening displacements were determined by using a Digital Image Correlation (DIC) technique from images recorded during the tests. The results showed that increasing the amount of GNP increased the fracture toughness of specimens. On the other hand, increasing the crack orientation angle decreased the fracture toughness. Increasing the crack length increased the fracture toughness values for a crack orientation angle of 30° but decreased for a crack orientation angle of 90°. DIC results were found to be compatible with the calculated results using crack length and damage stress values.

TL;DR: In this paper, a case study of a developing country has been examined dealing with serious pollution problems due to the ineffective management of the large solid waste generated in the city of Batman in Turkey.
Abstract: The collection, transport, treatment, and disposal of solid wastes, particularly wastes generated in medium and large urban centres, have become a relatively difficult problem to solve for those responsible for their management. However, recycling-related activities bring waste reduction, prevention of waste of raw materials and less environmental damage as well as providing an economic benefit to the countries. In this paper, a case study of a developing country has been examined dealing with serious pollution problems due to the ineffective management of the large solid waste generated in the city of Batman in Turkey. The aim of this paper is to estimate the quantity of waste produced that requires collection and the different waste constituents, to analyze the current practices of SWM, to propose an environmentally sound and economically feasible integrated management system for dealing with solid waste. Results showed that the average generation rate of MSW was 0.75 kg/capita/day in Batman and also, it has been anticipated that the wastes could be disposed by using modern methods instead of irregular storage.

TL;DR: P is the class of analytic functions with the positive real part (Caratheodory class) then this function will be called convex function by means of bounded boundary rotation and denoted by K(t, b).
Abstract: Let F be the class of functions $$f(z)=z+a_{2}z^{2}+\cdots $$ which are analytic in $${\mathcal {D}}=\{z: |z|<1\}$$ and satisfies the condition $$\begin{aligned} 1+\frac{1}{b}z\frac{f''(z)}{f'(z)}=p_{t}(z), (b e 0, b\in {\mathcal {C}}, z\in {\mathcal {D}}) \end{aligned}$$ where $$p_{t}(z)=\left( \frac{t}{4}+\frac{1}{2}\right) p_{1}(z)-\left( \frac{t}{4}-\frac{1}{2}\right) p_{2}(z)$$ , $$t\ge 2, p_{1}(z),p_{2}(z)\in {\mathcal {P}}$$ . $${\mathcal {P}}$$ is the class of analytic functions with the positive real part (Caratheodory class) then this function will be called convex function by means of bounded boundary rotation and denoted by K(t, b). In this present paper, we will introduce this class and its some properties.

TL;DR: In this paper , Ni (II) iyonu için, en iyi başlangıç konsantrasyonunun 150 mg/L, adsorpsiyon temas süresinin 100 dakika ve çözelti pH'ının 6.27; olduğu şartların en uygun çalışma koşulları old uyduğu belirlendi.
Abstract: Bu çalışma, sulu çözeltilerden Ni(II) iyonlarının uzaklaştırılması için portakal kabuğu atığının (PKA) değer-lendirilmesini anlatmaktadır.
