TL;DR: In this paper, the existence of non-trivial solutions to an anisotropic discrete non-linear problem involving p(k)-Laplacian operator with Dirichlet boundary condition is investigated.
Abstract: In the present paper, by using variational method, the existence of non-trivial solutions to an anisotropic discrete non-linear problem involving p(k)-Laplacian operator with Dirichlet boundary condition is investigated. The main technical tools applied here are the two local minimum theorems for differentiable functionals given by Bonanno.

TL;DR: In this study, palmprint recognition system based on Gabor wavelet transform has been developed and feature extracted of region of interest and given of Multi layer perception classifier.
Abstract: Palmprint recognition system is regarded as the reliable and accurate biometric identification system available. Viewed in the palmprint recognition system of biometric approaches, compared to other models because it is a new handheld biometric feature recognition system has recently attracted the attention of researchers. In this study, palmprint recognition system based on Gabor wavelet transform has been developed. Firstly, image coordinate system is defined to facilitate image alignment for feature extraction. Then, region of interest is cropped from the palmprint images. With developed system feature extracted of region of interest and given of Multi layer perception classifier.

TL;DR: In this article, the tensile and bending strength of Al-7075-T6 alloys were compared and it was concluded that the hardness values of the materials were increased by both the reaging and the burnishing process.
Abstract: In this study, firstly all of Al-7075-T6 alloys were joined by the friction stir welding (FSW) method then the samples were divided into four groups. First group of samples were used directly. The second group of samples was burnished. Third group of samples were aged and the last group of samples was subjected to both re-aging and burnishing process. It was compared the tensile and bending strengths of all prepared specimens. After the FSW process, only the second aging process increased the tensile strength. There is no effect on the tensile strength of the burnishing process. The bending strength has improved only the re-aging process without burnishing operation or only burnishing without the second aging process. In the friction stir welded Al-7075-T6 materials, it was concluded not to have a significant effect on the mechanical properties of the burnishing process. However, the hardness values of the materials were increased by both the re-aging and the burnishing process.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a study of natural radioactivity levels in coal and its combustion residues (fly ash and slag) used in the houses in Black Sea Region, Turkey.
Abstract: This work presents a study of natural radioactivity levels in coal and its combustion residues (fly ash and slag) used in the houses in Black Sea Region, Turkey. Coal, fly ash and slag samples were provided from different locations of the region and analyzed by gamma spectroscopy using a high-purity germanium detector (HPGe). Also, chemical analyses of these samples were carried out using energy dispersive x-ray fluorescence spectrometer. The mean 226Ra activity concentrations in coal, slag and fly ash were measured as 83, 99 and 38Bqkg–1, respectively. The mean 232Th activity concentrations in coal, slag and fly ash were measured as 108, 113 and 50Bqkg–1, respectively. The mean 40K activity concentrations in coal, slag and fly ash were found to be 366, 381 and 204Bqkg–1, respectively. The potential radiological hazards associated to these materials were evaluated by calculating the radium equivalent activity (Raeq), the air absorbed gamma dose rate (D), the annual effective dose rate (AED), the ...

TL;DR: It was found that while sodium concentration predominantly affects the amplitude of AP, Potassium concentration affects the threshold and hyper-polarization levels, and the increase in excitation current level cause to early triggering of AP which leads to increase the AP/sec rate.
Abstract: Hodgkin-Huxley (HH) neuron model has an important place in theoretical neuroscience In the study, on the basis of HH neuron model, the effects of ionic sodium and potassium concentrations as well as the effect of excitation current density on AP were investigated It was found that while sodium concentration predominantly affects the amplitude of AP, Potassium concentration affects the threshold and hyper-polarization levels It was observed that the increase in excitation current level cause to early triggering of AP which leads to increase the AP/sec rate This information may be used in theoretical neuroscience
