Abstract: Bu arastirmanin amaci futbolcu cocuklarin secilmis motorik ozellikleri arasindaki iliskilerin incelenmesidir. Calismaya Gaziantep ili Fenerbahce spor okulunda futbol oynayan 40 sporcu cocuk gonullu olarak katilmistir. Calismaya katilan sporcularin yaslari ortalamasi 14,40±1,74 yil, boylari ortalamasi 1,62±0,13 m, vucut agirligi ortalamasi 53,35±12,58 kg, ve spor yaslari ortalamasi 2,43±1,38 yil olarak tespit edilmistir. Sporcularin performansla ilgili motorik ozelliklerin tespitinde; dikey sicrama, durarak uzun atlama, 30 m hiz kosusu, 30 sn mekik ve 30 sn sinav testleri uygulanmistir. Yapilan testler sonucunda; durarak uzun atlama ile dikey sicrama, otuz saniye sinav ve esneklik ozellikleri, dikey sicrama ile esneklik ozellikleri, otuz saniye sinav ile otuz saniye mekik ozellikleri arasinda ayni yonde bir iliski oldugu istatistiksel olarak tespit edilmistir (P<0,05). Buna karsin, durarak uzun atlama ile otuz metre ozellikleri, dikey sicrama ile otuz metre ozellikleri, otuz metre ile otuz saniye sinav, otuz saniye mekik ve esneklik ozellikleri, otuz saniye mekik ile esneklik ozellikleri arasinda zit yonde bir iliski oldugu istatistiksel olarak tespit edilmistir (P<0,05). Sonuc olarak, futbolcu cocuklarda motorik ozellikler arasindaki iliskinin onemli oldugu ve performans acisindan bu ozelliklerin antrene edilmesi gerektigi dusunulmektedir.

Abstract: In this study, two-channel surface electromyography (sEMG) signals were used to classify hand finger movements. Bicoherence analysis of the sEMG signal recorded with surface electrodes for flexor and extensor muscle bundles on the front and back of the forearm, respectively, was classified by extreme learning machines (ELM) based on phase matches in the electromyography (EMG) signal. EMG signals belonging to 42 human, 22 males and 20 females, with an average age of 21.4 were used in the study. The finger movements were also classified by using different learning algorithms. The best classification was performed by using ELM algorithm with 98.95 and 97.83% accuracies in average for subjects individually and all together, respectively. On the other hand, a maximum of 95.81 and 94.30% accuracies were reached for subjects individually and all together, respectively, with other learning methods used in the present study. From the information obtained through this study, it is possible to control finger movements by using flexor and extensor muscle activities of the forearm. Furthermore, by this method, it may be possible controlling of the intelligent prosthesis hands with high degree of freedom.

Abstract: Accidents in the industry, especially in the field of aerospace, are quite common. Damages like tears cracks and holes occur especially when small sand particles present in the airfield collide with the body and wings of an airplane during takeoff and landing. This torn, cracked, or pierced region should be repaired gently. Damaged parts are frequently small regions for which repair is more suitable than complete replacement as workmanship; cost and time are an important concept in today’s world.A gap occurs between the patches if double-bonded patches are used in the repair of the damaged parts. In this study, the region between patches in a joint with and without intermediate parts was modeled and its effect on strength was examined numerically and experimentally. Abstract: The genetic algorithm (GA) is an optimization and search technique based on the principles of genetics and natural selection. A GA allows a population composed of many individuals to evolve under specified selection rules to a state that maximizes the “fitness” function. In that process, crossover operator plays an important role. To comprehend the GAs as a whole, it is necessary to understand the role of a crossover operator. In this paper, a novel crossover operator called ‘ring crossover’ is proposed. In order to evaluate the efficiency and feasibility of the proposed operator, a comparison between the results of this study and results of different crossover operators used in GAs is made through a number of test functions with various levels of difficulty.
