TL;DR: It was found that the proposed approach to clustering is successful enough to be employed for clustering in terms of achieved inner and outer distance.
Abstract: Clustering is the process of partition of samples, which have not got any labels, into groups. The main aim of clustering was to achieve the lowest distance between samples in each cluster and to achieve the highest distance between the samples in a cluster with the samples in other clusters. In this paper, a novel clustering approach was proposed. This novel approach was built on the differential evolution, which is a meta-heuristic method that searches for the optimum solution, and the randomized artificial neural network, which is a kind of artificial neural network that has a single hidden layer. To evaluate and validate the proposed approach, 48 datasets were employed. Achieved results by the proposed approach were compared with the obtained results by k-means, hierarchical, k-centers clustering, and some other versions of the proposed approach, which are built on ANN and particle swarm optimization, and harmony search methods. It was found that the proposed approach is successful enough to be employed for clustering in terms of achieved inner and outer distance.

Abstract: Bu arastirmanin amaci beden egitimi ve spor ogretmenlerinin orgutsel sinizme iliskin algilarinin orgutsel bagliliklari uzerindeki etkisini tespit etmektir. Arastirma iliskisel tarama modelinde yapilmistir.

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of the cutting edge approach angle and chip slenderness ratio (CSR) on machinability outcomes were investigated, such as surface roughness, chip morphology, tool wear, and fluctuations in the process.
Abstract: Machining method and its outcomes are significant in manufacturing operations, but determined vibrations in the process, quite hard to solve, rising from the natural mechanism of the process. Numerous parameters affect the machinability outcomes, such as surface roughness, chip morphology, tool wear, and fluctuations in the process. In this paper, 15°, 30°, and 45° approach angles, 1, 3, 5, 10, and 15 chip slenderness ratios (CSR), selected as the ratio of the cutting depth to the feed rate, were selected. Therefore, the effects of the cutting edge approach angle and CSR on the conclusions were investigated. At 15° approach angle, the severe and unstable vibrations were recorded, including the cracks, the chip serration with high pitch size, hard distortion cracks, and the largest tool wear areas which were observed on-chip morphology, but only at low CSR values and 45° approach angle. The highest fluctuations were taken place in the direction of cutting depth (X), for all selected parameters. The optimum results were recorded at 30° approach angle and 15 CSR, but the hardest deformation cracks seemed at 1 CSR. Additionally, Co, involved in the structure of the cutting tool as a binder, transfer to the removed chip, while Fe, from the workpiece to the cutting tool, during the process.

TL;DR: In this paper, a comparison of the performance and emissions of two methyl ester fuels: one obtained from animal fat and the other from crude canola oil, in a compression-ignition engine against diesel fuel was performed.
Abstract: In this study, it was performed a comparison of the performance and emissions of two methyl ester fuels: one obtained from animal fat and the other from crude canola oil, in a compression-ignition engine against diesel fuel. The experimental results compared with diesel fuel showed that significant reductions could be obtained by biodiesel derived from animal fat in carbon monoxide and oxides of nitrogen emissions. Carbon dioxide emissions showed a trend of decreasing with the biodiesel fuels. An increase in brake specific fuel consumption was observed for different biodiesel fuels when compared with diesel fuel. It was concluded that animal tallow methyl ester performed better than canola oil methyl ester, whereas slightly higher brake torque is observed with canola oil methyl ester.

TL;DR: In this article, a sliding area on the Karadon Formation in Kozlu County, Zonguldak, Turkey was chosen for investigations and the in situ test results revealed that, the failure zone determined using the pressuremeter tests was in good agreement with the failure depths determined by inclinometer measurements.
Abstract: Landslides along the Black Sea region in Turkey are frequent. The rapid increase in population and the consequent increased scarcity of land has been forcing the utilization of problematic areas for urbanization. These areas must be observed continuously and probable landslides must be determined beforehand. The use of inclinometers is the most commonly accepted and reliable monitoring method for assessing areas at risk of landslides. However, this method has the drawback of requiring demanding and long-term measurements. In this study, comprehensive investigations were carried out to determine the performance of the pressuremeter test for in situ measurement methods to expeditiously estimate the position of the slip surface. A sliding area on the Karadon Formation in Kozlu County, Zonguldak, Turkey was chosen for investigations. Observations and topographic measurements performed to assess the failure mechanism, and the obtained results specified that the movement type was a circular sliding. The in situ test results revealed that, the failure zone determined using the pressuremeter tests was in good agreement with the failure depths determined by inclinometer measurements.
