TL;DR: A new method was developed for detecting faults and fault type occurred in power transmission lines and the results obtained were compared to the ones obtained through earlier studies.
Abstract: The increase in the energy demand has multiplied the importance of energy transmission. The faulty power transmission lines need to be isolated quickly for a continuous energy transmission. In this study, a new method was developed for detecting faults and fault type occurred in power transmission lines. The method concerns fault signals of real transmission lines. The Wigner-Ville energy distribution of these signals was obtained and this energy was mapped onto a gray-level co-occurrence matrix. Some fault related exclusive features were derived from this matrix. The faults were detected by classifying these features through some statistical and intelligence based methods. The results obtained by this method were compared to the ones obtained through earlier studies.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed two cryptographic protocols for the computation of Hamming distance in the semi-honest case and a committed oblivious transfer scheme in the malicious case. But neither scheme is secure in the full case, since the verifier has the biometric data of the users in plain form.
Abstract: Bringer et al. proposed two cryptographic protocols for the computation of Hamming distance. Their first scheme uses oblivious transfer and provides security in the semi-honest model. The other scheme uses committed oblivious transfer and is claimed to provide full security in the malicious case. The proposed protocols have direct implications to biometric authentication schemes between a prover and a verifier where the verifier has biometric data of the users in plain form.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used the Monte Carlo simulation method to determine the theoretically recoverable methane hydrate potential of the marine regions in the exclusive economic zones (EEZ) of Turkey.
Abstract: The present study was carried out to determine technically recoverable methane hydrate potential of the marine regions in the exclusive economic zones (EEZ) of Turkey by using the algorithm developed and Monte Carlo simulation method. It was found that technically recoverable methane in methane hydrate-bearings in the EEZ of Turkey is approximately 12.08 standard trillion cubic meters (tcm). These reserves are in the Black Sea and the Eastern Mediterranean Sea within the EEZ of Turkey. Although there are some thermogenic gas hydrate potentials in the Sea of Marmara, the EEZ of Turkey in the Sea of Marmara and the Aegean Sea (or the Sea of Islands) do not have any technically recoverable methane hydrate potential at current technological conditions.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors introduced a subclass of functions satisfying subordinate conditions and established initial coefficient estimations using Chebyshev polynomials expansions, and Fekete-Szego inequalities for functions belonging to the said subclass.
Abstract: In this paper, we firstly, introduced the subclass \(R_{\Sigma}(\tau ,\alpha ,\gamma ;t)\) satisfying subordinate conditions. Subsequently, considering this defined subclass, initial coefficient estimations are established using by Chebyshev polynomials expansions, and Fekete-Szego inequalities are also derived for functions belonging to the said subclass. Furthermore, Some relevant consequences of these results are also discussed.
