TL;DR: In this paper, an attempt has been made to develop a suitable methodology for the assessment of drinking water quality on the basis of 11 physico-chemical parameters (Alkalinity, Dissolved Solids (DS), Hardness, pH, Ca, Mg, Fe, Fluoride, As, Sulphate, Nitrates) are selected for the quality assessment.
Abstract: Groundwater is the most important natural resource for drinking water to many people around the world, especially in rural areas where the supply of treated water is not available. Drinking water resources cannot be optimally used and sustained unless the quality of water is properly assessed. To this end, an attempt has been made to develop a suitable methodology for the assessment of drinking water quality on the basis of 11 physico-chemical parameters. The present study aims to select the fuzzy aggregation approach for estimation of the water quality index of a sample to check the suitability for drinking purposes. Based on expert’s opinion and author’s judgement, 11 water quality (pollutant) variables (Alkalinity, Dissolved Solids (DS), Hardness, pH, Ca, Mg, Fe, Fluoride, As, Sulphate, Nitrates) are selected for the quality assessment. The output results of proposed methodology are compared with the output obtained from widely used deterministic method (weighted arithmetic mean aggregation) for the suitability of the developed methodology.

TL;DR: In this paper, the nonlinear Schrodinger's equation with non-Kerr law nonlinearity was studied in the presence of perturbation terms with full non-linearity.
Abstract: In this paper, the governing equation for optical solitons, namely the nonlinear Schrodinger's equation, is studied with non-Kerr law nonlinearity in the presence of perturbation terms with full nonlinearity. The quasi-stationary optical soliton is obtained after applying the multiple-scale perturbation analysis. The forms of nonlinearity that are studied in this paper are Kerr law, power law and the log law.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed EdgeSDN-I4COVID architecture for intelligent and efficient management during COVID-19 of the smart industry considering the IoT networks, and presented the SDN-enabled layer, such as data, control, and application, to effectively and automatically monitor the IoT data from a remote location.
Abstract: The industrial ecosystem has been unprecedentedly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic because of its immense contact restrictions. Therefore, the manufacturing and socio-economic operations that require human involvement have significantly intervened since the beginning of the outbreak. As experienced, the social-distancing lesson in the potential new-normal world seems to force stakeholders to encourage the deployment of contactless Industry 4.0 architecture. Thus, human-less or less-human operations to keep these IoT-enabled ecosystems running without interruptions have motivated us to design and demonstrate an intelligent automated framework. In this research, we have proposed "EdgeSDN-I4COVID" architecture for intelligent and efficient management during COVID-19 of the smart industry considering the IoT networks. Moreover, the article presents the SDN-enabled layer, such as data, control, and application, to effectively and automatically monitor the IoT data from a remote location. In addition, the proposed convergence between SDN and NFV provides an efficient control mechanism for managing the IoT sensor data. Besides, it offers robust data integration on the surface and the devices required for Industry 4.0 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Finally, the article justified the above contributions through particular performance evaluations upon appropriate simulation setup and environment.

TL;DR: In this article, an effective analytical technique is proposed for the solution of the Lane-Emden equations based on the variational iteration method (VIM) and the convergence control parameter h.
Abstract: An effective analytical technique is proposed for the solution of the Lane-Emden equations. The proposed technique is based on the variational iteration method (VIM) and the convergence control parameter h . In order to avoid solving a sequence of nonlinear algebraic or complicated integrals for the derivation of unknown constant, the boundary conditions are used before designing the recursive scheme for solution. The series solutions are found which converges rapidly to the exact solution. Convergence analysis and error bounds are discussed. Accuracy, applicability of the method is examined by solving three singular problems: i) nonlinear Poisson-Boltzmann equation, ii) distribution of heat sources in the human head, iii) second-kind Lane-Emden equation.
