TL;DR: In this article, a lignocellulosic wood filler reinforced epoxy composite is developed using micro-size particle reinforcement in view of its promising applicability as automobile parts and consumer goods.
Abstract: To overcome the ecological concern and fiber orientation problem, lignocellulosic wood filler reinforced epoxy composite is developed using ‘micro-size’ particle reinforcement in view of its promising applicability as automobile parts and consumer goods. To identify the phase and functional groups present, the wood microfiller is characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis. The properties of the developed ‘specific grade’ epoxy composite are investigated in uniaxial tension mode with variable strain rate and in three-point bending mode. The linear elastic fracture mechanics is adopted to find fracture toughness and strain energy release rate at fracture initiation. The dynamic mechanical properties of the produced viscoelastic material are determined over a range of temperature. The investigations demonstrated a noticeable improvement in static and dynamic mechanical properties with the addition of micron size fillers, and properties of this developed material are comparable (or even better) with existing different wood-based composites.

TL;DR: In this article, carboxymethyl guar with different degrees of substitution was characterized by a variety of material characterization techniques, such as intrinsic viscosity measurement, determination of molecular weight, elemental analysis, thermal analysis, 13C-NMR spectra, and Fourier transform infrared analysis.
Abstract: Guar gum was partially carboxymethylated by the reaction of the base polysaccharide with the sodium salt of monochloroacetic acid in presence of sodium hydroxide. The resulting products (carboxymethyl guar with different degrees of substitution) were characterized by a variety of material characterization techniques, such as intrinsic viscosity measurement, determination of molecular weight, elemental analysis, thermal analysis, 13C-NMR spectra, and Fourier transform infrared analysis. Various grades of carboxymethyl guar gum, which were synthesized in the laboratory, were studied for their suitability as flocculants and viscosifiers. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyzed the built-up expansion of Ranchi urban agglomeration over a period of about 8 decades from 1927 to 2005 using satellite images and topographical maps.
Abstract: The present study analyzes the built-up expansion of Ranchi urban agglomeration over a period of about 8 decades from 1927–2005. Satellite images and topographical maps were used to evaluate land use dynamics during these periods. Built-up growth of 473.7% during 1927–2005 was primarily at the expense of agricultural land along with reduction of natural water bodies reflects negative impacts of built-up expansion, which increased many folds in recent decades. The built-up growth is also analyzed with reference to population growth, land consumption rate and land transformation. The land loss due to increasing built-up growth of Ranchi were compared with other capital regions and cities along with population increase to provide insight into the possible scenario of built-up expansion in Ranchi urban area.

TL;DR: In this paper, a quantum corrected version of the Fokker-planck equation without dissipation and its fourth order corrected analytical solution for the probability distribution profile responsible for studying the dynamical features of the particle creation events in the stochastic inflation and reheating stage of the universe is presented.
Abstract: In this work, our prime focus is to study the one to one correspondence between the conduction phenomena in electrical wires with impurity and the scattering events responsible for particle production during stochastic inflation and reheating implemented under a closed quantum mechanical system in early universe cosmology. In this connection, we also present a derivation of quantum corrected version of the Fokker–Planck equation without dissipation and its fourth order corrected analytical solution for the probability distribution profile responsible for studying the dynamical features of the particle creation events in the stochastic inflation and reheating stage of the universe. It is explicitly shown from our computation that quantum corrected Fokker–Planck equation describe the particle creation phenomena better for Dirac delta type of scatterer. In this connection, we additionally discuss Ito, Stratonovich prescription and the explicit role of finite temperature effective potential for solving the probability distribution profile. Furthermore, we extend our discussion of particle production phenomena to describe the quantum description of randomness involved in the dynamics. We also present computation to derive the expression for the measure of the stochastic non-linearity (randomness or chaos) arising in the stochastic inflation and reheating epoch of the universe, often described by Lyapunov Exponent. Apart from that, we quantify the quantum chaos arising in a closed system by a more strong measure, commonly known as Spectral Form Factor using the principles of random matrix theory (RMT). Additionally, we discuss the role of out of time order correlation function (OTOC) to describe quantum chaos in the present non-equilibrium field theoretic setup and its consequences in early universe cosmology (stochastic inflation and reheating). Finally, for completeness, we also provide a bound on the measure of quantum chaos (i.e. on Lyapunov Exponent and Spectral Form Factor) arising due to the presence of stochastic non-linear dynamical interactions into the closed quantum system of the early universe in a completely model-independent way.
