TL;DR: This paper presented a method of calculating sharp bounds on the average treatment effect using linear programming under identifying assumptions commonly used in the literature and provided a sensitivity analysis of the identifying assumptions and missing data in two applications.
Abstract: This paper presents a method of calculating sharp bounds on the average treatment effect using linear programming under identifying assumptions commonly used in the literature. This new method provides a sensitivity analysis of the identifying assumptions and missing data in two applications. The first application looks at the effect of parents’ schooling on children’s schooling, and the second application studies the effect of mandatory arrest policy on domestic violence recidivism. This paper shows that even a mild departure from identifying assumptions may substantially widen the bounds on average treatment effects. Allowing for a small fraction of the data to be missing also has a large impact on the results.

TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that a continuous triangular map G of the n-dimensional cube I n has only fixed points and no other periodic points if and only if G has a common fixed point with every continuous triangle map F that is nontrivially compatible with G. This is an analog of Jungck theorem for maps of a real compact interval.
Abstract: We prove that a continuous triangular map G of the n-dimensional cube I n has only fixed points and no other periodic points if and only if G has a common fixed point with every continuous triangular map F that is nontrivially compatible with G. This is an analog of Jungck theorem for maps of a real compact interval. We also discuss possible extensions of Jungck theorem, Jachymski theorem and some related results to more general spaces. In particular, the spaces with the fixed point property and the complete invariance property are considered.

06 Aug 2011TL;DR: An axiomatic definition of divergence measure for intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IFSs) is presented, as a particular case of dissimilarity between IFSs, and a classification of the usual functions used in the literature for measuring the dierence between intuitionist fuzzy sets in two classes are presented.
Abstract: An axiomatic definition of divergence measure for intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IFSs, for short) is presented in this work, as a particular case of dissimilarity between IFSs. As the concept of divergence measure is more restrictive, it has particular properties which are studied. Furthermore, the relationships among IF-divergences, dissimilarities and distances are studied. We also provide some methods for building divergence measure for IFSs. They will allow us to conclude this work with a classification of the usual functions used in the literature for measuring the dierence between intuitionistic fuzzy sets in two classes: which are divergence measures between IFSs and which are not.

TL;DR: The primary finding of this study is that, among all studied property-oriented basis sets, only the def2-TZVPD and ORP basis sets yield nuclear relaxation (hyper)polarizabilities of small molecules with average absolute errors less than 5.5%.
Abstract: In the present work, we perform an assessment of several property-oriented atomic basis sets in computing (hyper)polarizabilities with a focus on the vibrational contributions. Our analysis encompasses the Pol and LPol-ds basis sets of Sadlej and co-workers, the def2-SVPD and def2-TZVPD basis sets of Rappoport and Furche, and the ORP basis set of Baranowska-Łączkowska and Łączkowski. Additionally, we use the d-aug-cc-pVQZ and aug-cc-pVTZ basis sets of Dunning and co-workers to determine the reference estimates of the investigated electric properties for small- and medium-sized molecules, respectively. We combine these basis sets with ab initio post-Hartree–Fock quantum-chemistry approaches (including the coupled cluster method) to calculate electronic and nuclear relaxation (hyper)polarizabilities of carbon dioxide, formaldehyde, cis-diazene, and a medium-sized Schiff base. The primary finding of our study is that, among all studied property-oriented basis sets, only the def2-TZVPD and ORP basis sets yiel...
