TL;DR: The design, implementation and evaluation of an e-learning course focused on scheduling jobs in a computer grid, using inter-subject relations among distributed operating systems, optimization, softcomputing and architecture of computers is described.
Abstract: The aim of this work is to describe the design, implementation and evaluation of an e-learning course focused on scheduling jobs in a computer grid. These topics belong to applied informatics master's study program. Themes of grid scheduling are part of courses, term and research projects. Our course titled Research project uses inter-subject relations among distributed operating systems, optimization, softcomputing and architecture of computers.

TL;DR: In this paper, an analysis of the possible use of degraded land for fuel wood and subsequent utilization of this fuel wood by means of a verified technique (co-combustion with coal) or a proposed technique (pyroly sis) was presented.
Abstract: Wood and other biomass have the great potential of decreasing carbon dioxide emissions to the atmosphere, or at least mitigating the speed of the increase in the concentration of carbon dioxide. This paper presents an analysis of the possible use of degraded land – thermal power plant ash ponds – for the growth of fast-growing trees for fuel wood and the subsequent utilization of this fuel wood by means of a verified technique – co-combustion with coal, or a proposed technique – pyroly sis. Pyrolysis of wood with the combustion of pyrolysis gases and carbon sequestration would provide approximately 26% more favorable effects on climate change than the co-combustion of wood in a coal-fired boiler.

TL;DR: The value of the bioconcentration factor of the DO + OZ root/substrate obtained to be greater than the unit for Cu, Pb, Zn, Cd, Co, Ni, and Mn, suggests the OZ material’s positive contribution in the phytoremediation process that can be applied for these waste dumps.
Abstract: The effect of applying organo-zeolitic (OZ) amendment in supporting phytoremediation of a copper mine waste dump, using a substrate obtained from Ľubietova, Central Slovakia, was studied. Three pla...

TL;DR: Using analogous results of probability theory on MV-algebras (see [6]) a version of the weak law of large numbers can be proved.
Abstract: A probability theory on IFS events has been constructed in [2], and axiomatically in [4]. Here we use a general system of axioms for probabilities and observables. Using analogous results of probability theory on MV-algebras (see [6]) a version of the weak law of large numbers can be proved.
