TL;DR: The role of exosomes in cancer development has become the focus of much research, due to the many emerging roles possessed by exosome as mentioned in this paper, which have been found to regulate immune system function, particularly in tumorigenesis, as well as conditioning future metastatic sites for the attachment and growth of tumor tissue.
Abstract: The role of exosomes in cancer development has become the focus of much research, due to the many emerging roles possessed by exosomes. These micro-vesicles that are ubiquitously released in to the extracellular milieu, have been found to regulate immune system function, particularly in tumorigenesis, as well as conditioning future metastatic sites for the attachment and growth of tumor tissue. Through an interaction with a range of host tissue, exosomes are able to generate a pro-tumor environment that is essential for carcinogenesis. Herein, we discuss the contents of exosomes and their contribution to tumorigenesis, as well as their role in chemotherapeutic resistance and the development of novel cancer treatments and the identification of cancer biomarkers.

TL;DR: In this paper, a review of recent progress in designing electrolytes for high voltage lithium ion batteries and solid state batteries is summarized, and the applications of inorganic solids, solid polymers, gel and ionic liquids in solid state electrolytes are presented.
Abstract: Developing the next generation high energy density and safe batteries is of prime importance to meet the emerging challenges in electronics, automobile industries and various energy storage systems. High voltage lithium ion batteries (LIBs) and solid state batteries (SSBs) are two main directions gaining increasing interests in recent years, due to their visible applications in the near future. In both of the two kinds of batteries, the electrolytes play a pivotal role but also create several bottle-neck problems. In this review, recent progress in designing electrolytes for high voltage LIBs and SSBs is summarized. First, the solvents, additives, ionic liquids and super-concentrated salts strategy for constructing the high voltage liquid electrolytes are reviwed, and then the applications of inorganic solids, solid polymers, gel and ionic liquids in solid state electrolytes are presented. Finally, the general design rules of the electrolytes and their current limitations and future prospects are briefly discussed.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors identify and test the key motivators and inhibitors for consumer acceptance of mobile phone banking, particularly those that affect the consumer's attitude towards, and intention to use, this self-service banking technology.
Abstract: Purpose – This paper aims to identify and test the key motivators and inhibitors for consumer acceptance of mobile phone banking (M‐banking), particularly those that affect the consumer's attitude towards, and intention to use, this self‐service banking technology.Design/methodology/approach – A web‐based survey was undertaken where respondents completed a questionnaire about their perceptions of M‐banking's ease of use, usefulness, cost, risk, compatibility with their lifestyle, and their need for interaction with personnel. Correlation and hierarchical multiple regression analysis, with Sobel tests, were used to determine whether these factors influenced consumers' attitude and intention to use M‐banking.Findings – Perceived usefulness, perceived risk, cost and compatibility were found to affect consumer acceptance of M‐banking. The results also support a mediation model, whereby attitude transfers the affects of the consumers' perceptions to their intention to use M‐banking.Research limitations/implica...

TL;DR: A critical review of the literature pertaining to emergency department triage is provided to inform the direction for future research and to develop and test an International Triage Scale (ITS) which is supported by an international collaborative approach towards a triage research agenda.
Abstract: Triage is a process that is critical to the effective management of modern emergency departments. Triage systems aim, not only to ensure clinical justice for the patient, but also to provide an effective tool for departmental organisation, monitoring and evaluation. Over the last 20 years, triage systems have been standardised in a number of countries and efforts made to ensure consistency of application. However, the ongoing crowding of emergency departments resulting from access block and increased demand has led to calls for a review of systems of triage. In addition, international variance in triage systems limits the capacity for benchmarking. The aim of this paper is to provide a critical review of the literature pertaining to emergency department triage in order to inform the direction for future research. While education, guidelines and algorithms have been shown to reduce triage variation, there remains significant inconsistency in triage assessment arising from the diversity of factors determining the urgency of any individual patient. It is timely to accept this diversity, what is agreed, and what may be agreeable. It is time to develop and test an International Triage Scale (ITS) which is supported by an international collaborative approach towards a triage research agenda. This agenda would seek to further develop application and moderating tools and to utilise the scales for international benchmarking and research programmes.
