TL;DR: In this article, the synergetic effect of the photocatalytic behavior of TiOx plasma-deposited coatings and atmospheric pressure plasma treatment on the degradation of remazol yellow-RR (RYRR) in aqueous solution was explored.
Abstract: This study explores the synergetic effect of the photocatalytic behavior of TiOx plasma-deposited coatings and atmospheric pressure plasma treatment on the degradation of remazol yellow-RR (RYRR) in aqueous solution. Therefore, the first part of this paper was dedicated to the development of TiOx coatings on substrates with various geometries and dimensions via a non-thermal atmospheric pressure plasma assisted polymerization using tetraisopropyl orthotitanate (TIOT) as a precursor. The plasma deposition processes were performed as a function of the deposition potential. The surface chemistry, morphology, structural and hydrophilic properties of the obtained TiOx coating were investigated by means of X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and water contact angle (WCA) analysis. Results revealed the formation of TiOx characteristic chemical groups in a process that is highly dependent on the deposition parameters. TiOx coating were super-hydrophilic and exhibited a cauliflower-like morphology in which the anatase crystalline structure is predominated over the rutile phase. In the second part of the study, the photocatalytic nature of TiOx coatings and the simultaneous effect of an array of multi-jet plasma treatment on the degradation efficiency of RYRR molecules in aqueous solution are examined. The reactive species involved during the TiOx deposition and degradation processes were examined via optical emission spectroscopy (OES). The degradation efficiency was investigated using Uv–Vis spectroscopy. RYRR degradation and the formation of degradation products were further confirmed by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The variation in pH, total organic carbon (TOC) and electrical conductivity of the plasma treated RYRR was also assessed. Furthermore, the generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) such as OH radicals and H2O2 in the solution was also studied spectroscopically. Overall, results showed that the degradation rate after the concurrent plasma-TiOx photocatalytic reactions was significantly higher than after plasma treatment alone due to the formation of higher concentrations of various ROS.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors discuss the various methods of fiber extraction and the feasibility of its application for various plants and fibers, including mechanical decortications, water retting process and manual extraction method.
Abstract: Natural fibers were given a lot of respect over synthetic ones in terms of sustainability. Application of natural fibers is superior to synthetics because they can be achieved cheaply and they have an environmental advantage. The usage time is usually shorter, often being fully or partially recyclable or biodegradable. There are wide varieties of natural fibers which can be reinforced to form composites and used for various applications. Combinatorial, or silicate, substances that can be made of a broad range of properties which is not derived a single resource. The reinforcement of fibers within the matrix becomes easy, only when the fibers are extracted from the plants, hence the extraction process is necessary in fiber reinforcement. There are various methods of fiber extraction, which include mechanical decortications, water retting process and manual extraction method. The extraction of fibers involves the retting process which is followed by the decortication process. From the above various methods, a suitable extraction method is selected based on the parts of the plant from which the fiber is to be extracted. Choice of extraction method governs the characteristics and properties of composites fabricated out of it. This review paper discusses the various methods of extraction and the feasibility of its application for various plants and fibers.

TL;DR: In this research work, 16-bit and 64 bit adder is designed and comparison is made between all types of adders in terms of delay.
Abstract: In modern VLSI design, the occurrence of delays is predictable. Many digital systems that process data may have delays. Design requires thorough understanding of algorithms, recurrence structures, energy and wire tradeoffs, circuit design techniques, circuit sizing and system constraints. In this research work, 16-bit and 64 bit adder is designed and comparison is made between all types of adders in terms of delay. Xilinx ISE is used for simulation and synthesis Delay of 13.88 ns for a 16 bit Ling adder and 64 bit Sparse 2 adder has a delay of 35.026 ns. Area is also measured and comparison is made.
