Fertilization and development of mouse oocytes cryopreserved using a theoretically optimized protocol

TL;DR: Evaluation of the fertilizability and developmental capacity of oocytes cryopreserved using the optimized protocol yielded cleavage to the 2-cell stage in 65% of oocyte inseminated, and blastocyst formation in 50% of these 2- cell embryos.
Journal ArticleDOI

High precision iron isotope measurements of meteoritic material by cold plasma ICP-MS

TL;DR: In this article, the first cold plasma ICP-MS (inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer) Fe isotope study is described, which relies on reduced temperature operation of the ICP source to eliminate pervasive molecular interferences from Ar complexes associated with conventional ICPMS.

along the northern Death Valley fault zone: Implications for transient strain in the eastern California shear zone

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used high-resolution digital topographic imagery and terrestrial cosmogenic nuclide dating to determine the geologic slip rate for the northern Death Valley fault zone (NDVFZ).
Journal ArticleDOI

Statistical Analysis of the High-Frequency Spectral Break of the Solar Wind Turbulence at 1 AU

TL;DR: In this paper, a large database of magnetic field spectra and plasma parameters at 1 AU measured by the ACE spacecraft is used to determine the spectral break, and statistical correlation of the data points calculated according to existing theoretical formulae for the break is analyzed, and the least-squares fits to the data are compared with the theoretically predicted scalings.

Excitation pulse-shape mimic technique for improving picosecond-laser-excited time-correlated single-photon counting deconvolutions

TL;DR: In this article, the authors used a very short-lived fluorophore to mimic the excitation pulse shape at the wavelength of sample emission, λem, yielding the convoluted mimic decay function Cm(λem,t).
