Parameter Estimation from Time-Series Data with Correlated Errors: A Wavelet-Based Method and its Application to Transit Light Curves

TL;DR: In this article, the authors consider the problem of fitting a parametric model to time-series data that are afflicted by correlated noise, represented by a sum of two stationary Gaussian processes: one that is uncorrelated in time and another that has a power spectral density varying as 1/f γ.

Changes in the Earth's rotation and low-degree gravitational field induced by earthquakes

TL;DR: In this article, a spherically symmetric earth model and centroid-moment tensor solutions for earthquake sources were used to compute the earthquake-induced changes in the earth's rotation and low-degree harmonics of the gravitational field for the period 1977-1985.

Isotopic Lithium Abundances in Nine Halo Stars

TL;DR: In this paper, high-resolution echelle spectra of the 6707.8? Li I absorption line of metal-poor halo dwarfs and subgiants were analyzed for the isotopic fractions of 6Li and 7Li.

Iron in the basal ganglia in Parkinson's disease. An in vitro study using extended X-ray absorption fine structure and cryo-electron microscopy.

TL;DR: Investigation of the physical environment of brain iron in post-mortem tissue showed that iron levels are increased in two areas of the brain in Parkinson's disease including the substantia nigra, the site of maximal neurodegeneration, which produces increased loading of ferritin, which is the normal brain iron storage protein.

Integration and global analysis of isothermal titration calorimetry data for studying macromolecular interactions

TL;DR: A protocol for bias-free thermogram integration based on automated shape analysis of the injection peaks, followed by combination of isotherms from different calorimetric titration experiments into a global analysis, statistical analysis of binding parameters and graphical presentation of the results are presented.
