Extremely hard GRB spectra prune down the forest of emission models

TL;DR: In this article, the authors consider the evidence for very hard low energy spectra during the prompt phase of Gamma-Ray Bursts (GRB), and examine the spectral evolution of GRB 980306 together with the detailed analysis of some other bursts already presented in the literature.

Oil-in-gelatin dispersions for use as ultrasonically tissue-mimicking materials.

TL;DR: Broad ranges of ultrasonic parameters, including speed of sound, attenuation coefficient, density and backscatter level, exist for a form of tissue-mimicking material reported in which oil droplets are dispersed in a water-based gelatin.

Local Zones of Endoplasmic Reticulum Complexity Confine Cargo in Neuronal Dendrites

TL;DR: It is shown that membrane proteins, including AMPA-type glutamate receptors, rapidly diffuse within the continuous network of dendritic ER but are confined by increased ER complexity at dendrites branch points and near dendrite spines, which results in local control of ER complexity spatially scales secretory trafficking within elaborate dendedritic arbors.

Computer simulation of inclusive pion nuclear reactions

TL;DR: In this article, the authors carried out a simultaneous calculation of all inclusive reactions in pion-nucleus scattering in the range T π = 85-350 MeV.

Evolutionary relationship between K(+) channels and symporters.

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that at least four families of putative K(+) symporter proteins, Trk and KtrAB from prokaryotes and Trk1,2 from fungi, and HKT1 from wheat, evolved from bacterial K+ channel proteins.
