Abstract
This new edition is divided into 15 units and each unit has its own divided chapters, altogether consisting of 85 chapters. Unit I is an introduction to physiology consisting of 3 chapters: The cell and general physiology. Unit II addresses membrane physiology, nerve, and muscle, consisting of 5 chapters. Unit VIII has 2 chapters addressing to aviation, space, and deep sea diving physiology. It has a section on hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Units IX, X, and XI concern the physiology of the nervous system consisting of 17 chapters which elegantly review different aspects of the human nervous system. All topics discussed are relevant to daily practicing physician/scientist. One example is the important role of thyroid hormone on the growth and development of the brain during fetal, neonatal, and infantile periods, which needs to be emphasized and remembered because of its grave consequences resulting in cretinism.

Management Keperawatan Mengurangi Rasa Haus Pada Pasien Dengan Chronic Kidney Disease : Literature Review

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors conducted a literature search on various ways to reduce the intensity of thirst in CKD patients, and found that all the interventions from the literature review in the form of chewing ice cubes, chewing gum, and gargling with mouthwash can be used to reduce thirst in patients with CKD.

A Continuous, Impedimetric Parylene Flow Sensor

TL;DR: In this paper, an impedimetric thermal liquid flow sensor fabricated on a Parylene C thin film substrate is presented for the first time, which includes an additional upstream unheated reference electrode pair which enabled attenuation of environmental drift in impedance by more than $5 times.

A tri-phasic continuum model for the numerical analysis of biological tissue proliferation using the Theory of Porous Media: Application to cardiac remodelling in rheumatic heart disease

TL;DR: The triphasic model is applied to a full cardiac cycle of a left ventricle model, extracted from cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) scans of patients diagnosed with RHD, to study long-term effects of new therapeutic concepts to treat inflammatory heart diseases and ultimately, estimate their effectiveness to prevent heart failure.

Nanosensor Location Estimation in the Human Circulatory System Using Machine Learning

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors investigate the detection and localization capabilities of flowing nanosensors in the blood flow to report abnormalities in the human body and provide a methodology to evaluate its performance.
