Mixed 2D molecular systems: Mechanic, thermodynamic and dielectric properties

TL;DR: In this article, surface pressure area isotherms ( π- A ), the Maxwell displacement current (MDC) measurement, X-ray reflectivity (XRR) and atomic force microscopy (AFM) were used to investigate the selected mechanic, thermodynamic and dielectric properties based on orientational structure of monolayers.
Journal ArticleDOI

The guanylate cyclase signaling system in zebrafish photoreceptors

TL;DR: Zebrafish express in the retina a large variety of three different membrane‐bound guanylate cyclases and six different guany Late cyclase‐activating proteins (zGCAPs) belonging to the family of neuronal calcium sensor proteins, which operate as cytoplasmic Ca2+‐sensors that sense incremental changes of cy toplasmo‐concentration in rod and cone cells and control the activity of their target guany late cyclases in a Ca2
Journal ArticleDOI

Synchronous versus sequential updating in the three-state Ising neural network with variable dilution

TL;DR: In this paper, the Q = 3 -state Ising neural network with synchronous updating and variable dilution is discussed starting from the appropriate Hamiltonians, and the thermodynamic and retrieval properties are examined using replica mean-field theory.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dynamics of bovine opsin bound to G-protein fragments

TL;DR: The molecular dynamics of bovine opsin bound to three different fragments of G-proteins are explored and it is found that an extended network of hydrogen bonds connects the agonist retinal binding site to the G protein binding site via conserved amino acid residues.
