A discussion of key differences and rationale that researchers can use to support their use of PLS is provided, followed by two examples from the discipline of Information Systems.Abstract:
The objective of this paper is to provide a basic framework for researchers interested in reporting the results of their PLS analyses. Since the dominant paradigm in reporting Structural Equation Modeling results is covariance based, this paper begins by providing a discussion of key differences and rationale that researchers can use to support their use of PLS. This is followed by two examples from the discipline of Information Systems. The first consists of constructs with reflective indicators (mode A). This is followed up with a model that includes a construct with formative indicators (mode B).read more

Effect of entrepreneurial orientation, market orientation and total quality management on performance: Evidence from Saudi SMEs
TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined the joint effect of entrepreneurial orientation (EO), market orientation (MO), total quality management (TQM) and organisational performance in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's (KSA's) small and medium enterprise (SME) sector.

Assessing reflective models in marketing research: A comparison between pls and plsc estimates
TL;DR: In this article, the use of Consistent Partial Least Squares (PLSc) estimation to assess reflective models used in marketing literature has been discussed, and the results show that PLSc is more robust than traditional PLS in estimating convergent validity and path coefficients.

Examining the influence of business environment on socio-economic performance of informal microenterprises: Content analysis and partial least square approach
TL;DR: In this article, a mixed method research design was used to examine the relationships between business environment and firm performance in context of small and medium-sized enterprises and large organizations, but less research has been done on microenterprises, especially in informal sector.

Quality dominant logic in big data analytics and firm performance
TL;DR: The study confirms that perceived technology, talent and information quality are significant determinants of BDAQ, and identifies that alignment between analytics quality and firm strategy moderates the relationship between BDAQ and firm performance.

Cross-Validatory Choice and Assessment of Statistical Predictions
TL;DR: In this article, a generalized form of the cross-validation criterion is applied to the choice and assessment of prediction using the data-analytic concept of a prescription, and examples used to illustrate the application are drawn from the problem areas of univariate estimation, linear regression and analysis of variance.

A Partial Least Squares Latent Variable Modeling Approach for Measuring Interaction Effects: Results from a Monte Carlo Simulation Study and an Electronic-Mail Emotion/Adoption Study
TL;DR: A new latent variable modeling approach is provided that can give more accurate estimates of interaction effects by accounting for the measurement error that attenuates the estimated relationships.
