A discussion of key differences and rationale that researchers can use to support their use of PLS is provided, followed by two examples from the discipline of Information Systems.Abstract:
The objective of this paper is to provide a basic framework for researchers interested in reporting the results of their PLS analyses. Since the dominant paradigm in reporting Structural Equation Modeling results is covariance based, this paper begins by providing a discussion of key differences and rationale that researchers can use to support their use of PLS. This is followed by two examples from the discipline of Information Systems. The first consists of constructs with reflective indicators (mode A). This is followed up with a model that includes a construct with formative indicators (mode B).read more

An empirical analysis of factors influencing continuance intention of mobile instant messaging in China
TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper investigated factors affecting users' continuance intention in the context of mobile instant messaging (IM) and built a theoretical model to illustrate the relationships between perceived user base, habit, resistance to change and continuance intentions.

The agony of choice for medical tourists: a patient satisfaction index model
TL;DR: This model’s sources of competitive advantage – doctors’ and nurses’ interaction quality, environmental quality and outcome quality – mostly explain patient satisfaction, which is the key target construct.

The effects of perceived conference quality on attendees’ behavioural intentions
TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined the relationships between dimensions of perceived quality, attendees' needs and behavioral intentions in conferences based on SEM-PLS of a convenience sample of 295 attendees.

The intention to use mobile banking: Further evidence from Saudi Arabia
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors developed and examined a research model to understand the factors that affect the intention to use mobile banking services in Saudi Arabia based on a paper-based survey of 253 respondents.

Educational data mining acceptance among undergraduate students
TL;DR: Analysis of the determinants that could influence the acceptance of EDM technology, particularly among undergraduate students since they are the most affected by the technology, has revealed that ‘relevance for analysing’, ‘self-efficacy’ and ‘facilitating conditions’ have influenced the accepted technology.

Cross-Validatory Choice and Assessment of Statistical Predictions
TL;DR: In this article, a generalized form of the cross-validation criterion is applied to the choice and assessment of prediction using the data-analytic concept of a prescription, and examples used to illustrate the application are drawn from the problem areas of univariate estimation, linear regression and analysis of variance.

A Partial Least Squares Latent Variable Modeling Approach for Measuring Interaction Effects: Results from a Monte Carlo Simulation Study and an Electronic-Mail Emotion/Adoption Study
TL;DR: A new latent variable modeling approach is provided that can give more accurate estimates of interaction effects by accounting for the measurement error that attenuates the estimated relationships.
