Nuclear Magnetic Resonance

J. Lee
- 01 May 1968 -
TL;DR: Emsley and Waugh as mentioned in this paper published the Guide to the NMR Empirical Method A Workbook, which is based on the Bible jun.. Pp. xi + 305.
Journal ArticleDOI

Cellulases, Hemicellulases, and Pectinases: Applications in the Food and Beverage Industry

TL;DR: The major applications of cellulases, hemicellulases, and pectinases and their cleavage characteristics, sources (mainly microbial), and features of the substrates in the food and beverage industries are discussed in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Pectinase from Microorganisms and Its Industrial Applications

TL;DR: In this article , the pectin substance structure, substrate for Pectinase production, factors influencing the PPI production, the industrial application of microbial PPI and also discusses challenges and future opportunities of applying PPI in industry.
Journal ArticleDOI

New insights in pectinase production development and industrial applications.

TL;DR: Pectinase, a group of pectin degrading enzymes, is one of the most influential industrial enzymes, helpful in producing a wide variety of products with good qualities.

The crystal structure of rhamnogalacturonase A from Aspergillus aculeatus: a right-handed parallel β helix

TL;DR: Rhamnogalacturonase A from A. aculeatus is the first three-dimensional structure of an enzyme hydrolyzing glycoside bonds within the backbone of RG-l, and the glycan groups bound to RGase A are important to the stability of the crystal, as the carbohydrate moiety is involved in most of the intermolecular hydrogen bonds.
Journal ArticleDOI

Pectic polysaccharide rhamnogalacturonan II is covalently linked to homogalacturonan.

Tadashi Ishii, +1 more
- 01 Jul 2001 -
TL;DR: The results show that imidazole solubilizes a high molecular weight borate-containing pectic complex composed of homogalacturonan-rhamnogalACTuronan II and RG-I, and suggest that borate esters formed between rhamnogsalactonan II molecules cross-link the macromolecular pectin.
Journal ArticleDOI

Why are there so many carbohydrate-active enzyme-related genes in plants?

TL;DR: The extremely large number of glycosidase and glycosyltransferase-related genes in plant genomes can be explained by the complex structure of the plant cell wall, but also by the recent emergence of novel and unrelated protein functions based on widely available pre-existing scaffolds.
Journal ArticleDOI

Biochemistry and genetics of microbial xylanases

TL;DR: Xylanases are classified into two major families (10 or F and 11 or G) of glycosyl hydrolases, which are larger, more complex and produce smaller oligosaccharides.
Journal ArticleDOI

Detection of polygalacturonase, pectin-lyase and pectin-esterase activities in a Saccharomyces cerevisiae strain

TL;DR: The catalytic capacity of several excreted pectinolytic enzymes obtained from various yeast strains was examined using in vivo and biochemical techniques and Saccharomyces cerevisiae was identified as SCPP, which allows pectin hydrolysis during cell growth.
