TLDR
In this paper, the atmospheric transmission of Sun Radiation and on Dust in the Air are discussed. But they do not consider the effect of dust in the air on the transmission of sun radiation.

Unusual wintertime transport of Saharan dust to Sofia, Bulgaria, detected by lidar

TL;DR: In this article, the results of aerosol measurements performed by using two-channel lidar based on a frequency-doubled pulsed Nd:YAG laser emitting at 1064 nm and 532 nm.

Atmospheric aerosol and black carbon optical properties and associated radiative forcing under haze conditions

TL;DR: In this paper, the optical properties and radiative forcing of atmospheric aerosol (ARF) and black carbon (BC) aerosol in ultraviolet (UV), visible (VIS), near-infrared (NIR), and shortwave (SW) spectra were investigated under haze conditions based on the observations of the Aethalometer and sun-sky radiometer and simulations from libRadtran.

Evaluation of an interference filter photometer for the measurement of atmospheric ozone and aerosol scattering

TL;DR: A multi-wavelength, narrow-band, interference filter spectrophotometer has been designed by the New Zealand Meteorological Service as discussed by the authors to provide measurements of atmospheric transmission at ultraviolet, visible and infrared wavelengths, and from these measurements be able to characterise the aerosol scattering optical depth as a function of wavelength and determine the total amount of ozone in a vertical column of the atmosphere.

Aerosol transmittance for clear-sky solar irradiance models: Review and validation of an accurate universal parameterization

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present a worldwide review of some of the most widely known clear-sky solar radiation models and show that most of these inconsistencies are related to deficiencies in the simulation of the extinction by aerosols.
