Study of the Relationship between Ångström's Wavelength Exponent and Junge Particle Size Distribution Exponent

TL;DR: In this article, a study of the relationship curve between exponents α and ν is made for aerosol particle polydispersions of different radius intervals and for different refractive index values.
Journal ArticleDOI

MAX-DOAS measurements of tropospheric NO 2 and HCHO in Munich and the comparison to OMI and TROPOMI satellite observations

TL;DR: In this paper, two-dimensional scanning Multi-AXis Differential Optical Absorption Spectroscopy (MAX-DOAS) observations of nitrogen dioxide ( NO2 ) and formaldehyde (HCHO) in Munich were used to investigate the spatiotemporal characteristic of NO2 and HCHO in Munich.

Numerical investigation on the Ångström exponent of black carbon aerosol

TL;DR: In this article, the influence of BC geometry on its optical properties and assess the sensitivity of the Angstrom exponent to particle geometry and size distribution was considered. And the authors used fractal aggregates with different fractal dimensions to represent realistic BC particles, and popular equivalent volume spherical and spheroidal models were also considered for comparison.

Impacts of urbanization on long-term fog variation in Anhui Province, China

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of urban development and aerosols on fog formation are discussed through an analysis of trends in fog frequency and comparison with a number of meteorological parameters, coal consumption and vehicle usage as indicators of economic development, and visibility as an indicator of aerosol load.
Journal ArticleDOI

Technical Note: Simple analytical relationships between Ångström coefficients of aerosol extinction, scattering, absorption, and single scattering albedo

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors introduce simple analytical relationships between these coefficients that establish a framework for intercomparison between theory and experimental results from different instruments and platforms and allow for closure studies and improved physical understanding.
