A preliminary estimation of the direct ultraviolet spectral irradiance in Valencia (Spain) : Comparison with measured values

TL;DR: In this paper, the results of these estimations have been compared with experimental measurements of direct irradiance at normal incidence obtained using an Optronic OL 754 in the 300-400 nm range.

Analysis of Long-Term Aerosol Optical Properties Combining AERONET Sunphotometer and Satellite-Based Observations in Hong Kong

TL;DR: In this paper , seasonal characteristics and long-term variations in aerosol optical parameters in Hong Kong from 2006 to 2021 using AERONET data and satellite-based observations based on the extreme-point symmetric mode decomposition (ESMD) model.

Retrieval of UV–visible aerosol absorption using AERONET and OMI–MODIS synergy: spatial and temporal variability across major aerosol environments

TL;DR: In this article , the spectral single scattering albedo (SSA, ωo) of aerosols in the UV-to-visible wavelength range (340-670 nm) was derived by combining satellite-measured near-UV radiances and visible radiances by the MODIS, given the calibrated ground-based Aerosol Robotic Network (AERONET) measurements.

Atmospheric Measurements of Biogenic and Anthropogenic Emissions by Broadband Cavity Enhanced Absorption Spectroscopy

TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe the quantification of biogenic and anthropogenic trace gases using the highly sensitive spectroscopic technique of broadband cavity enhanced absorption spectroscopy (BBCEAS), which uses a high finesse optical cavity to make absorption measurements over extended path lengths within a compact instrument and over wavelength ranges that are sufficiently broad to enable several overlapping absorbers to be quantified simultaneously.
