TLDR
In this article, a discussion as to what physical measurements actually serve as convincing criteria of structure and chelation in dithiocarbamates is presented. But no sure evidence was found for or against the chelation of the dithIocarbamate moiety.

Synthesis, characterization and the use of organotin(IV) dithiocarbamate complexes as precursor to tin sulfide nanoparticles by heat up approach

TL;DR: In this paper, the reactions of dimethyltin(IV)chloride with different N-alkyl-N-phenyl dithiocarbamate ligands in 1 1/mol equivalence yielded complexes of the type [(CH3)2SnL1L3] (1) and [(CH 3)2snL2L3], where (alkyl) = methyl (L1), ethyl= (L2) and butyl (L3) were characterized using spectroscopic techniques (FTIR, 1H, 13C and 119

Bis(N-benzyl-N-furfuryldithiocarbamato-S,S′)mercury(II) as a precursor for the preparation of mercury sulfide nanoparticles

TL;DR: In this article, a single-crystal X-ray structure of the thioureide (N 13 CS 2 ) carbon signals were observed at 206.8 and 206.7ppm for 1 and 2, respectively, with very weak intensity, characteristic of the quaternary carbon signal.

Synthesis and structure of some triphenyltin(IV) dithiocarbamate compounds

TL;DR: In this paper, a low temperature synthesis is described for the preparation of organotin dithiocarbamate compounds (including N -cyclic and N -monosubstituted derivatives) in which the products have low levels of the usual sulfide impurities.

Electronic Structures of Dithiocarbamates and Xanthates

TL;DR: It has long been realized that the canonical form (Ia) may contribute significantly to the structure of the dithiocarbamate residue in its complex compounds, M(S2CNR2)n, where M is a metal atom and n its valency.

Infra-red spectra and structure of some phenyltin compounds

TL;DR: In this paper, the absorption properties of twenty phenyltin compounds have been measured in terms of various structural features in the compounds and the positions of the benzene ring vibrations have been noted together with some analytically useful bands.
