Purification of Noisy Entanglement and Faithful Teleportation via Noisy Channels

TLDR
Upper and lower bounds on the yield of pure singlets ($\ket{\Psi^-}$) distillable from mixed states $M$ are given, showing $D(M)>0$ if $\bra{Psi-}M\ket-}>\half$.
Abstract
Two separated observers, by applying local operations to a supply of not-too-impure entangled states (e.g., singlets shared through a noisy channel), can prepare a smaller number of entangled pairs of arbitrarily high purity (e.g., near-perfect singlets). These can then be used to faithfully teleport unknown quantum states from one observer to the other, thereby achieving faithful transmission of quantum information through a noisy channel. We give upper and lower bounds on the yield $D\left(M\right)$ of pure singlets $(|{\ensuremath{\Psi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}〉)$ distillable from mixed states $M$, showing $D\left(M\right)g0$ if $〈{\ensuremath{\Psi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}|M|{\ensuremath{\Psi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}〉g\frac{1}{2}$.

Optimized decoherence suppression of two qubits in independent non-Markovian environments using weak measurement and quantum measurement reversal

TL;DR: The result manifests that QD reveal more properties about quantum correlations than concurrence for the given system and an optimal scheme is proposed to suppress decoherence by performing prior weak measurement and post-measurement reversal.

Distilling quantum entanglement via mode-matched filtering

TL;DR: In this paper, a mode-matching filter was proposed to purify the telecom-band entanglement generated via the Kerr nonlinearity in single-mode fibers where a substantial amount of Raman-scattering noise is concomitantly produced.

Protection of quantum dialogue affected by quantum field

TL;DR: The master equation that governs the noisy QDP evolution is derived, and it is found that the success probability of QDP decreases exponentially with evolution time, and with a perfectly reflecting boundary SP can be effectively protected and modulated.

The “twirl”, stella octangula and mixed state entanglement

TL;DR: A simple group theoretical explanation of the twirl operation introduced by Bennett et al. as mentioned in this paper is given, and some aspects of mixed state entanglement discussed by Horodecki et al are unified within the framework of a geometrical diagram.

Entanglement spectra of the q-deformed Affleck-Kennedy-Lieb-Tasaki model and matrix product states

TL;DR: In this article, the reduced density matrix of matrix product states (MPS) has been exactly calculated for two anisotropic spin chains, one is a q-deformed Affleck-Kennedy-Lieb-Tasaki (AKLT) model and the other is a general spin-1 quantum antiferromagnet with nearest-neighbor interactions.

TL;DR: Any pure or mixed entangled state of two systems can be produced by two classically communicating separated observers, drawing on a supply of singlets as their sole source of entanglement.

Generalized privacy amplification

TL;DR: This paper provides a general treatment of privacy amplification by public discussion, a concept introduced by Bennett, Brassard, and Robert for a special scenario, and yields results on wiretap and broadcast channels for a considerably strengthened definition of secrecy capacity.
