Release characteristics of diclofenac sodium from poly(vinyl alcohol)/sodium alginate and poly(vinyl alcohol)-grafted-poly(acrylamide)/sodium alginate blend beads.

TLDR
It was observed that, DS release from the beads decreased with increasing PVA/NaAlg (m/m) ratio, drug/polymer ratio (d/p) and extent of cross-linking, but release increased with increasing acrylamide content of the PVA-g-PAAm polymer.

Synthesis and Evaluation of Alginate-Based Nanogels as Sustained Drug Carriers for Caffeine

TL;DR: In this article , a polymeric network of nanogels for sustained release of caffeine was designed by a free-radical polymerization technique for the sustained delivery of caffeine, and the results showed that a high gel fraction was seen with the increasing feed ratio of polymer, monomer, and crosslinker.
