Release characteristics of diclofenac sodium from poly(vinyl alcohol)/sodium alginate and poly(vinyl alcohol)-grafted-poly(acrylamide)/sodium alginate blend beads.

TLDR
It was observed that, DS release from the beads decreased with increasing PVA/NaAlg (m/m) ratio, drug/polymer ratio (d/p) and extent of cross-linking, but release increased with increasing acrylamide content of the PVA-g-PAAm polymer.

Preparation, In Vitro Characterization, and Cytotoxicity Evaluation of Polymeric pH-Responsive Hydrogels for Controlled Drug Release

TL;DR: Porosity and drug loading were increased with the incorporation of high concentrations of hydrogel contents except polyvinyl alcohol, which showed reverse effects, and it was demonstrated that the prepared hydrogels can be used as a promising drug carrier for the controlled delivery of drugs.
