The 2009 edition of the GEISA spectroscopic database

N. Jacquinet-Husson, +58 more
TL;DR: The GEISA database as mentioned in this paper is a computer-accessible system comprising three independent sub-databases devoted, respectively, to: line parameters, infrared and ultraviolet/visible absorption cross-sections, microphysical and optical properties of atmospheric aerosols.

CDSD-296, high resolution carbon dioxide spectroscopic databank: Version for atmospheric applications

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present CDSD-296, a version of the Carbon Dioxide Spectroscopic Databank aimed at processing signals from the satellite-based sensors, which contains line parameters (positions, intensities as well as HITRAN air- and self-broadened halfwidths and coefficients of temperature dependence of air-widths) of the four most abundant isotopic species of CO2.
Journal ArticleDOI

Atmospheric validation of high accuracy CO2 absorption coefficients for the OCO-2 mission

TL;DR: In this article, the authors describe atmospheric validation of View the MathML source and view the view-the-MathML source CO_2 absorption coefficient databases for use by the Orbiting Carbon Observatory (OCO-2).

The air-broadened, near-infrared CO2 line shape in the spectrally isolated regime: Evidence of simultaneous Dicke narrowing and speed dependence

TL;DR: Frequency-stabilized cavity ring-down spectroscopy was employed to measure air-broadened CO(2) line shape parameters for transitions near 1.6 μm over a pressure range of 6.7-33 kPa, and it was observed that only the speed-dependent Nelkin-Ghatak line profile was able to model the spectra to within the instrumental noise level.

Short range force effects in semiclassical molecular line broadening calculations

D. Robert, +1 more
- 01 Oct 1979 -
TL;DR: In this article, a semiclassical theory of the width and shift of isolated infrared and Raman lines in the gas phase is developed within the impact approximation, and a parabolic trajectory model determined by the isotropic part of the interaction potential allows a satisfactory treatment to be made of the close collisions leading to an analytical expression for the elastic collision cross section.

General impact theory of pressure broadening

TL;DR: In this paper, a theory of pressure broadening is developed which treats the perturbers quantum mechanically and allows for inelastic collisions, degeneracy, and overlapping lines, and the effective interaction is expressed in terms of the one-perturber quantum mechanical transition amplitudes on and near the energy shell.

Energy levels, intensities, and linewidths of atmospheric carbon dioxide bands

TL;DR: In this article, the spectral constants for eight isotopic variants of carbon dioxide are given for transitions required for terrestrial atmospheric i.r. absorption and a new tabulation is also furnished with bands considered for the latest HITRAN molecular database.

A multispectrum nonlinear least squares fitting technique

TL;DR: In this article, an extension of the nonlinear least squares spectrum fitting technique was developed for the simultaneous fitting of multiple spectra, which can improve the determination of spectroscopic parameters.
