The Highly Collimated Radio Jet of HH 80-81: Structure and Non-Thermal Emission

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present new high sensitivity and high angular resolution radio observations at several wavelengths (in the 3-20 cm range) of the HH80-81 radio jet, and conclude that synchrotron emission in this jet arises from an extended component detected at low frequencies and from the termination points of the jet, where strong shocks against the ambient medium can produce efficient particle acceleration.
Journal ArticleDOI

Magnetic collimation of relativistic positrons and electrons from high intensity laser-matter interactions

TL;DR: In this article, a collimation of positrons produced by laser-solid interactions has been observed using an externally applied axial magnetic field, leading to a narrow divergence positron beam, with an equivalent full width at half maximum beam divergence angle of 4° vs the uncollimated divergence of about 20°.

Effect of Cosmic Rays on the Evolution and Momentum Deposition of Supernova Remnants

TL;DR: This solution reproduces the results of state-of-the-art fluid simulations across the adiabatic and radiative stages for the gas-only case, and it predicts that typical CR acceleration efficiencies can boost SNR momentum deposition by a factor of 2-3.
Journal ArticleDOI

Spatial-Dependent Diffusion of Cosmic Rays and the Ratio of pbar/p, B/C

TL;DR: In this paper, the spatial-dependent propagation coefficient D(r,z,\rho) is employed by tracing the source distribution under the physical picture of two-halo model in DRAGON package.
Journal ArticleDOI

Indication of nearby source signatures of cosmic rays from energy spectra and anisotropies

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a simple but natural description of the GCR production and propagation, within a two-zone disk-halo diffusion scenario together with a nearby source, to understand the up-to-date precise measurements of the energy spectra and anisotropies of GCRs.
