Spectrum of cosmic rays, produced in supernova remnants
E.G.Berezhko,H.J.Voelk +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a nonlinear kinetic theory of cosmic ray (CR) acceleration in supernova remnants is employed to calculate CR spectra and it is shown that the calculated spectra agree in a satisfactory way with the existing measurements up to the energy $10^{17}$ eV.
Journal ArticleDOI
Diffusive Acceleration of Particles at Oblique, Relativistic, Magnetohydrodynamic Shocks
TL;DR: In this paper, a Monte Carlo simulation of diffusive acceleration in test-particle, relativistic, oblique, magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) shocks is used to generate particle angular and momentum distributions at any position upstream or downstream of the shock.
Journal ArticleDOI
H.E.S.S. observations of RX J1713.7−3946 with improved angular and spectral resolution: Evidence for gamma-ray emission extending beyond the X-ray emitting shell
H. Abdalla,Pierre-Henri Aubert,J. Chevalier,A. Fiasson,F. Krayzel,G. Lamanna,J. P. Lees,Gilles Maurin,Q. Piel,S. Rosier-Lees,D. A. Sanchez,Thomas Vuillaume,J. Carr,Jean-Pierre Ernenwein,C. Trichard +14 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented extensive new H.E.S. measurements of RX J1713.7-3946, almost doubling the observation time compared to their previous publication.
Journal ArticleDOI
Cosmic rays from microquasars: a narrow component to the CR spectrum?
Sebastian Heinz,R. A. Sunyaev +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, relativistic Galactic jets like those observed in GRS 1915+105 and GRO J1655-40 may produce a small but measurable contribution to the cosmic ray (CR) spectrum.
Journal ArticleDOI
Log-parabolic spectra and particle acceleration in blazars. III: SSC emission in the TeV band from Mkn 501
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors derived the relationship between the curvature parameters of the synchrotron (S) and Synchro-Self Compton (SSC) spectra for relativistic electrons by means of an accurate numerical code.
