TL;DR: It is argued that the Origin of Life field as a whole is unconvincing, generating results in Toy Domains that cannot be scaled to any real world scenario, and suggested that, by analogy with the history of artificial intelligence and solar astronomy, the authors need much more scale, and fundamentally new ideas, to take the field forward.

TL;DR: The uneasy relationship between religion and scientific cosmology never ceased, and in the twentieth century religious issues even played a role in debates between rival cosmological theories as discussed by the authors, and questions of this kind were widely discussed and they are still discussed in the twenty-first century, where new cosmology ideas have reinvigorated the cosmology-religion debate and made it even more complex.

Small Theories and Large Risks—Is Risk Analysis Relevant for Epistemology?
TL;DR: It is argued that there is an important methodological issue (determining what counts as the best available explanation in cases where the theories involved describe possibilities of extremely destructive global catastrophes) which has been neglected thus far and might lead to a greater weight of these cases in areas such as moral deliberation and policy making.
