Quantitative Determination of Ascorbic Acid in Vegetables by High-Performance Liquid Chromatography

TL;DR: In this paper, a simple high-performance liquid chromatographic procedure was used to determine levels of ascorbic acid and dehydroascorbic acid in vegetables that composed of reduction of de-salcobic acid with DL-homocysteine and the use of tetra-n-butylammonium bromide as an ion-pairing regent in the mobile phase.

Hypolipidemic Effect of the Autoclaved Extract Prepared from Pea (Pisum sativum L.) Pods In Vivo and In Vitro.

TL;DR: Results suggest that AE has hypolipidemic, bifidogenic potential and pigs fed a high-sucrose diet containing 3% autoclaved extract for 4 wk exhibited significantly lower serum triglyceride and total cholesterol levels than rats fed a HS diet.
