The effect of drought stress on the expression of key genes involved in the biosynthesis of phenylpropanoids and essential oil components in basil (Ocimum basilicum L.).

TLDR
Drought stress probably increases the methylchavicol and methyleugenol content, in part, through increasing the expression levels of CVOMT and EOMT, as well as the effect of drought stress on the essential oil compounds, which were investigated.
