TLDR
In this paper, a detailed theoretical model for the optical properties of heavily doped oxide semiconductors was proposed. But the model was applied to In2O3: Sn coatings and used to compute their integrated luminous solar and thermal properties, which yielded single coatings with 78% normal solar transmittance and 20% hemispherical thermal emittance.

Study of Quasi-Monodisperse In2O3 Nanocrystals: Synthesis and Optical Determination

TL;DR: The optical determination implies that the photoluminescence behavior of these In2O3 nanocrystals is different from that of the bulk, probably due to the combination of weak quantum-confinement-effects and the nature of high crystallinity in nanocry crystals.

Ambient pressure syntheses of size-controlled corundum-type In2O3 nanocubes.

TL;DR: Hydrolysis of In(O-iPr)3 by 10 molar excess of water at 90 degrees C in a surfactant/solvent mixture of oleylamine/oleic acid/trioctylamine provides very small nanoparticles (<5 nm in diameter) of In (O)(OH).

Room-temperature deposition of indium tin oxide thin films with plasma ion-assisted evaporation

TL;DR: The electrical and optical properties of indium tin oxide (ITO) thin films deposited by plasma ion-assisted evaporation are reported in this article, where the complex index of refraction is determined using a dispersion model suitable for explaining the particular properties of ITO in the visible and near infrared spectral range.
Journal ArticleDOI

Optical, structural, and electrical properties of indium oxide thin films prepared by the sol-gel method

TL;DR: In this paper, the fabrication of thin films of In2O3 from an aqueous sol and an organic solution was reported. And the electrical properties of the films derived from the two systems were discussed based on the differences in their morphologies.
Journal ArticleDOI

Template synthesis, organic gas-sensing and optical properties of hollow and porous In2O3 nanospheres

TL;DR: Owing to the hollow and porous structures, In(2)O(3) nanospheres possessing more active surface area exhibit a good response and reversibility to some organic gases such as methanol, alcohol, acetone and ethyl ether.

Metal-insulator transitions

Nevill Mott
TL;DR: In this article, a discussion is given of some aspects of the metal insulator transition and the status of the "minimum metallic conductivity" is discussed, and the concept is valid for liquids and in some, but not all, solid systems.

X-ray photoemission spectroscopy studies of Sn-doped indium-oxide films

TL;DR: In this paper, the In and Sn 3d3/2 and 3d5/2 ESCA peaks and the oxygen 1s peak of Sn-doped In2O3 films were compared with those for In 2O3, SnO, Sn2O2, and Sn3O4 powders.
