Journal ArticleDOI

RNA exploits an exposed regulatory site to inhibit the enzymatic activity of PRC2.

TL;DR: In vivo and in vitro protein-RNA interaction maps identify an RNA-binding patch within the allosteric regulatory site ofPRC2 that explains how RNA-mediated inhibition of PRC2 is relieved by allosterics activation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Histone H3.3G34-Mutant Interneuron Progenitors Co-opt PDGFRA for Gliomagenesis

Carol C.L. Chen, +78 more
- 10 Dec 2020 -
TL;DR: It is shown that 50% of G34R/V tumors bear activating PDGFRA mutations that display strong selection pressure at recurrence, and these results open novel research avenues in deadly tumors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Defining heterochromatin in C. elegans through genome-wide analysis of the heterochromatin protein 1 homolog HPL-2

TL;DR: The genome-wide distribution of the heterochromatin protein 1 (HP1) ortholog HPL-2 is analyzed and both shared and distinctive properties of heterochromeatin relative to other systems are uncovered.
Journal ArticleDOI

PFA ependymoma-associated protein EZHIP inhibits PRC2 activity through a H3 K27M-like mechanism.

TL;DR: The data indicate that PFA ependymoma and DIPG are driven in part by the action of peptidyl PRC2 inhibitors, the K27M oncohistone and the EZHIP ‘oncohist one-mimic’, that dysregulate gene silencing to promote tumorigenesis.
