Derivation of Pluripotent Stem Cells with In Vivo Embryonic and Extraembryonic Potency
Yang Yang,Bei Liu,Jun Xu,Jinlin Wang,Jun Wu,Cheng Shi,Yaxing Xu,Jiebin Dong,Chengyan Wang,Weifeng Lai,Jialiang Zhu,Liang Xiong,Dicong Zhu,Xiang Li,Weifeng Yang,Takayoshi Yamauchi,Atsushi Sugawara,Zhongwei Li,Fangyuan Sun,Xiangyun Li,Li Chen,Aibin He,Yaqin Du,Ting Wang,Chaoran Zhao,Haibo Li,Xiaochun Chi,Hongquan Zhang,Yifang Liu,Cheng Li,Shuguang Duo,Ming Yin,Huan Shen,Juan Carlos Izpisua Belmonte,Hongkui Deng +34 more
TL;DR: It is shown that a chemical cocktail enables the derivation of stem cells with unique functional and molecular features from mice and humans, designated as extended pluripotent stem (EPS) cells, which are capable of chimerizing both embryonic and extraembryonic tissues.
PatentDOI
Feature extraction and normalization algorithms for high-density oligonucleotide gene expression array data
Cheng Li,Wing Hung Wong +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a characteristic intensity of a feature in image data generated by scanning a microarray probe is determined (304), and a set of pixels of the image data that nominally represent the feature is identified.
Journal ArticleDOI
Genome coverage and sequence fidelity of ϕ29 polymerase‐based multiple strand displacement whole genome amplification
J. Guillermo Paez,Ming Lin,Rameen Beroukhim,Jeffrey C. Lee,Xiaojun Zhao,Daniel J. Richter,Stacey Gabriel,Paula Herman,Hidefumi Sasaki,David Altshuler,Cheng Li,Matthew Meyerson,William R. Sellers +12 more
TL;DR: In this article, the fidelity and genome representation of f29 polymerase-based genome amplification (f29MDA) using direct sequencing and high density oligonucleotide arrays probing >10 000 SNP alleles were tested.
Journal ArticleDOI
Evolution of the Aging Brain Transcriptome and Synaptic Regulation
Patrick M. Loerch,Tao Lu,Kelly A. Dakin,James M. Vann,Adrian M. Isaacs,Chengiz Geula,Jianbin Wang,Ying Pan,Dana Gabuzda,Cheng Li,Tomas A. Prolla,Bruce A. Yankner +11 more
TL;DR: Repression of neuronal gene expression is a prominent and recently evolved feature of brain aging in humans and rhesus macaques that may alter neural networks and contribute to age-related cognitive changes.
Journal ArticleDOI
Single-cell transcriptome profiling reveals neutrophil heterogeneity in homeostasis and infection
Xuemei Xie,Qiang Shi,Peng Wu,Xiaoyu Zhang,Hiroto Kambara,Hiroto Kambara,Jiayu Su,Hongbo Yu,Hongbo Yu,Shin-Young Park,Shin-Young Park,Rongxia Guo,Qian Ren,Sudong Zhang,Yuanfu Xu,Leslie E. Silberstein,Leslie E. Silberstein,Tao Cheng,Fengxia Ma,Cheng Li,Hongbo R. Luo,Hongbo R. Luo +21 more
TL;DR: These data establish a reference model and general framework for studying neutrophil-related disease mechanisms, biomarkers and therapeutic targets at single-cell resolution and represent an evolved mechanism for fine-tuned regulation of an effective but balanced neutrophils response.
