TL;DR: The main plasma parameters achieved in OP1.1 exceeded predicted values in discharges of a length reaching 6 s, and many of the diagnostics are already designed for quasi-steady state operation of 30 min discharges heated at 10 MW of ECRH.

TL;DR: In this article, an improved neoclassical electron confinement in the center of low-density ECRH plasmas has been observed in the presence of a strong positive radial electric field, which resembles the electron root solution of the neoclassically ambipolarity condition but is obviously driven by the loss of ECR h-generated suprathermal electrons.
