Ion-induced secondary electron emission, optical and hydration resistant behavior of MgO, Mg-Mo-O and Mg-Ce-O thin films

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the secondary electron emission (SEE) efficiency of e-beam evaporated pure and Mo- or Ce-containing MgO thin films and found that the increased grain size and pyramidal columnar morphology following incorporation of molybdenum and cerium in MgOs are responsible for the excellent discharge characteristics, emergence of neutral {100} and {110} MgOn surfaces preferentially give rise to high optical transmittance and stability against hydration.
Journal Article

Feather waste degradation by keratinophilic fungi:An alternative source for protein and aminoacids

TL;DR: Pea plant supplemented with degraded feather showed better growth and application of feather waste as slow nitrogen fertilizer may improve disposal as well as environmental clean-up.
Journal Article

Optimization of media composition for keratinase production on feather byAcremonium strictum RKS1

TL;DR: In this article, five-level-five factors (duration, pH, amount of substrate, Nitrogen source and carbon source) were used for the optimization of Acremonium strictum RKS1.
Journal ArticleDOI

Growth, morphological and structural investigations of neodymium aluminium borate crystals from different flux systems

TL;DR: In this article, the growth of NAB crystals using a new flux system, namely, sodium molybdate and sodium fluoride with varying boric oxide concentration; improved potassium sulphate-molybdenum trioxide flux with the addition of potassium fluoride and the more popular barium oxide-boric oxide flux.
Journal ArticleDOI

Analysis of electromagnetically induced transparency-based quantum dot infrared photodetectors

TL;DR: A quantum dot infrared photodetector based on intraband optical transitions among the various states within the valence band by considering the principle of electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) is proposed and theoretically investigated in this paper.
