Journal ArticleDOI
130. Purification of Large Scale mRNA Encoding ZFN Nucleases by dHPLC Technology
Erica Giuliani,Claudia Piovan,Sergio Bossi,Stefano Corna,Cinzia Scavullo,Monika Pema,Tiziano Di Tomaso,Pietro Genovese,Angelo Lombardo,Luigi Naldini,Claudio Bordignon,Gian Paolo Rizzardi,Chiara Bovolenta +12 more
TL;DR: The purification of in vitro transcribed mRNAs by means of dHPLC has been shown to strongly improve the translation of mRNA and significantly reduce the contaminant presence thus preventing innate immunity and eventually increasing modified cells persistence in vivo.
Journal ArticleDOI
Identification of the Bombesin Receptor on Murine and Human Cells by Cross‐Linking Experiments
Richard M. Kris,Luigi Naldini,Daniela Maria Cirillo,Maria Berg,Terry W. Moody,Joseph Schlessinger +5 more
TL;DR: The binding of the radiolabeled bombesin to the cells was specific and saturable, and these cross-linked proteins bound specifically to a wheat germ agglutinin affinity chromatography gel, suggesting that the receptor is a glycoprotein.
Journal ArticleDOI
Corrigendum to "Evidence for Long-term Efficacy and Safety of Gene Therapy for Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome in Preclinical Models".
Francesco Marangoni,Marita Bosticardo,Sabine Charrier,Elena Draghici,Michela Locci,Samantha Scaramuzza,Cristina Panaroni,Maurilio Ponzoni,Francesca Sanvito,Claudio Doglioni,Marie Liabeuf,Bernard Gjata,Marie Montus,Katherine A. Siminovitch,Alessandro Aiuti,Luigi Naldini,Loïc Dupré,Maria Grazia Roncarolo,Anne Galy,Anna Villa +19 more
TL;DR: This paper presents a meta-analyses of six mouse models of central giant cell apoptosis and shows clear patterns of progression towards “clinically checkpoints” as well as three new models of “spatially aggregating” disease.
Journal ArticleDOI
Comprehensive Clonal Mapping of Hematopoiesis in Vivo in Humans By Retroviral Vector Insertional Barcoding
Luca Biasco,Serena Scala,Francesca Dionisio,Andrea Calabria,Luca Basso Ricci,Samantha Scaramuzza,Cristina Baricordi,Stefania Giannelli,Victor Neduva,David J. Dow,Danilo Pellin,Paola Vicard,Clelia Di Serio,Eugenio Montini,Luigi Naldini,Alessandro Aiuti +15 more
TL;DR: The first evidence is provided that in vitro activated HSC, “awaken” from dormancy, can still, once infused, retain in vivo long-term activity in humans and supports the recently suggested model of hematopoietic hierarchy.
Journal ArticleDOI
Mesenchymal stromal cells improve the transplantation outcome of CRISPR-Cas9 gene-edited human HSPCs.
Stefania Crippa,Anastasia Conti,Valentina Vavassori,Samuele Ferrari,Stefano Beretta,Silvia Rivis,Roberto Bosotti,Serena Scala,Stefania Pirroni,Raisa Jofra-Hernandez,Ludovica Santi,Luca Basso-Ricci,Ivan Merelli,Pietro Genovese,Alessandro Aiuti,Luigi Naldini,Raffaella Di Micco,Maria Ester Bernardo +17 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors developed an MSC-based co-culture system to optimize the transplantation outcome of clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR)-Cas9 gene-edited (GE) human HSPCs.
