Supplement: Localization and broadband follow-up of the gravitational-wave transient GW150914

B. P. Abbott, +1539 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors summarize past electromagnetic follow-up efforts as well as the organization and policy of the current EM followup program and compare the four probability sky maps produced for the gravitational-wave transient GW150914, and provide additional details of the EM follow up observations that were performed in the different bands.

The IR counterpart to the Anomalouos X-ray Pulsar 1RXS J1708-4009

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors reported the discovery of the likely IR counterpart to the Anomalous X-ray Pulsar (AXP) 1RXS J1708-4009, based on the combination of Chandra HRC-I Xray position, and deep optical/IR observations carried out from ESO telescopes and the Canada France Hawaii Telescope (CFHT) during 1999-2002.

Discovery and Monitoring of the likely IR Counterpart of SGR 1806-20 during the 2004 gamma-ray burst-active state

TL;DR: The sky region including the Chandra position of SGR 1806-20 was monitored in the IR band during 2004, following its increased high energy bursting activity as mentioned in this paper, which provided images of unprecedented quality (FWHM better than 0.1").
