Journal ArticleDOI
Endoplasmic stress-inducing variants in carboxyl ester lipase and pancreatic cancer risk.
Makoto Kawamoto,Takeichi Yoshida,Koji Tamura,Mohamad Dbouk,Marcia I. Canto,Richard A. Burkhart,Jin He,Nicholas J. Roberts,Alison P. Klein,Michael Goggins +9 more
TL;DR: The prevalence of ER stress-inducing variants in the CEL gene was compared among pancreatic cancer cases vs. controls in this paper , and the case/control analysis found that ER stressinducing CEL variants are not associated with an increased likelihood of having pancreatic cancers.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bayesian copy number detection and association in large-scale studies
Stephen Cristiano,David McKean,Jacob Carey,Paige M. Bracci,Paul Brennan,Michael Chou,Mengmeng Du,Steven Gallinger,Michael Goggins,Michael Goggins,Manal Hassan,Rayjean J. Hung,Robert C. Kurtz,Donghui Li,Lingeng Lu,Rachel E. Neale,Sara H. Olson,Gloria M. Petersen,Kari G. Rabe,Jack Fu,Harvey A. Risch,Gary L. Rosner,Gary L. Rosner,Ingo Ruczinski,Alison P. Klein,Alison P. Klein,Robert B. Scharpf,Robert B. Scharpf +27 more
TL;DR: This study provides a robust Bayesian inferential framework for identifying latent batch effects, estimating copy number, and evaluating the role of copy number in heritable diseases.
Journal ArticleDOI
Abstract A029: A randomized study of two Strategies of remote Genetic Education, Risk Assessment, and Testing (GENERATE) for family members of patients with pancreatic cancer
Nicolette J. Rodriguez,C. Sloane Furniss,Matthew B. Yurgelun,Chinedu Ukaegbu,Pamela E. Constantinou,Ileana Fortes,Alyson Caruso,Alison Schwartz,Jill Stopfer,Meghan Underhill-Blazey,Barbara J. Kenner,Scott H. Nelson,Sydney Okumura,Alicia Y. Zhou,Tara Coffin,Hajime Uno,Miki Horiguchi,Allyson J. Ocean,Florencia McAllister,Andrew M. Lowy,Scott M. Lippman,Alison P. Klein,Lisa Madlensky,Gloria M. Petersen,Judy Garber,Michael Goggins,Anirban Maitra,Sapna Syngal +27 more
TL;DR: The GENERATE study as mentioned in this paper evaluated two strategies of remote genetic education and testing in relatives of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) patients, which were compared by permutation tests and mixed-effects logistic regression models.
Posted ContentDOI
Detection of incipient pancreatic cancer with novel tumor-specific antibodies in mouse models
Tobiloba E. Oni,Tobiloba E. Oni,Tobiloba E. Oni,Carmelita Bautista,Joseph R. Merrill,Jeroen A.C.M. Goos,Keith Rivera,Koji Miyabayashi,Giulia Biffi,Giulia Biffi,Libia Garcia,Dennis Plenker,Hardik Patel,Ela Elyada,Maria Samaritano,Kenneth H. Yu,Kenneth H. Yu,Darryl J. Pappin,Michael Goggins,Ralph H. Hruban,Jason S. Lewis,Scott K. Lyons,Johannes T.-H. Yeh,David A. Tuveson +23 more
TL;DR: This work establishes a pipeline to generate novel tumor-specific monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) against cell-surface proteins of PDAC patient-derived organoids (PDOs) and proposes that further development of these mAbs as PET radiotracers could facilitate the early detection and accurate staging ofPDAC.
Journal ArticleDOI
