Journal ArticleDOI
High-quality permanent draft genome sequence of the extremely osmotolerant diphenol degrading bacterium Halotalea alkalilenta AW-7(T), and emended description of the genus Halotalea.
Spyridon Ntougias,Alla Lapidus,Alla Lapidus,Alex Copeland,T. B. K. Reddy,Amrita Pati,Natalia Ivanova,Victor Markowitz,Hans-Peter Klenk,Tanja Woyke,Constantinos Fasseas,Nikos C. Kyrpides,Nikos C. Kyrpides,Georgios I. Zervakis +13 more
TL;DR: Members of the genus Halotalea are of high significance since they can tolerate the greatest glucose and maltose concentrations ever reported for known bacteria and are involved in the degradation of industrial effluents and it possesses the genetic ability to detoxify fluoroacetate, cyanate and acrylonitrile.
Journal ArticleDOI
Draft Genome Sequences of New Isolates and the Known Species of the Family Microbacteriaceae Associated with Plants.
O. V. Vasilenko,Irina P. Starodumova,Lubov V. Dorofeeva,Sergey V. Tarlachkov,Natalia V. Prisyazhnaya,Vladimir N. Chizhov,Sergei A. Subbotin,Marcel Huntemann,Alicia Clum,Kecia Duffy,Manoj Pillay,Krishnaveni Palaniappan,Neha Varghese,I-Min A. Chen,Dimitrios Stamatis,T. B. K. Reddy,Ronan C. O'Malley,Chris Daum,Nicole Shapiro,Natalia Ivanova,Nikos C. Kyrpides,Tanja Woyke,William B. Whitman,Lyudmila I. Evtushenko +23 more
TL;DR: These genomic data will be useful for natural taxonomy and comparative genomic studies of bacterial strains of the family Microbacteriaceae.
Journal ArticleDOI
High-quality draft genome sequences of Pseudomonas monteilii DSM 14164T, Pseudomonas mosselii DSM 17497T, Pseudomonas plecoglossicida DSM 15088T, Pseudomonas taiwanensis DSM 21245T and Pseudomonas vranovensis DSM 16006T: taxonomic considerations.
Arantxa Peña,Antonio Busquets,Margarita Gomila,Magdalena Mulet,Rosa M. Gomila,Elena García-Valdés,T. B. K. Reddy,Marcel Huntemann,Neha Varghese,Natalia Ivanova,I-Min Chen,Markus Göker,Tanja Woyke,Hans-Peter Klenk,Nikos C. Kyrpides,Jorge Lalucat +15 more
TL;DR: The genome sequences of the type strains in the Pseudomonas taxonomy were analysed via genome-wide taxonomic comparisons of ANIb, gANI and GGDC values and demonstrate that at least 36 genomic species can be delineated within the P. putida phylogenetic group of species.
Journal ArticleDOI
Corrigendum: Genome Data Provides High Support for Generic Boundaries in Burkholderia Sensu Lato.
Chrizelle W. Beukes,Marike Palmer,Puseletso Manyaka,Wai Y. Chan,Juanita R. Avontuur,Elritha Van Zyl,Marcel Huntemann,Alicia Clum,Manoj Pillay,Krishnaveni Palaniappan,Neha Varghese,Natalia Mikhailova,Dimitrios Stamatis,T. B. K. Reddy,Chris Daum,Nicole Shapiro,Victor Markowitz,Natalia Ivanova,Nikos C. Kyrpides,Tanja Woyke,Jochen Blom,William B. Whitman,Stephanus N. Venter,Emma Theodora Steenkamp +23 more
TL;DR: This research presents a novel probabilistic procedure called “spot-spot analysis” that allows for real-time analysis of the response of the immune system to foreign substance abuse.
Journal ArticleDOI
High-quality permanent draft genome sequence of the Lebeckia - nodulating Burkholderia dilworthii strain WSM3556T
Sofie E. De Meyer,Rui Tian,Rekha Seshadri,Natalia Ivanova,Amrita Pati,Victor Markowitz,Tanja Woyke,Ron Yates,John Howieson,Nikos C. Kyrpides,Nikos C. Kyrpides,Wayne Reeve +11 more
TL;DR: Burkholderia dilworthii strain WSM3556T is an aerobic, motile, Gram-negative, non-spore-forming rod that was isolated from an effective N2-fixing root nodule of Lebeckia ambigua and thus represents a potential inoculant quality strain for L. ambigua.
