Journal ArticleDOI

Draft genome sequence of Actinotignum schaalii DSM 15541T: Genetic insights into the lifestyle, cell fitness and virulence.

TL;DR: Resistance to ciprofloxacin occurs by mutation in chromosomal genes that encode the subunits of DNA-gyrase and topisomerase IV (ParC) enzymes, while resistant to metronidazole was due to the frxA gene, which encodes NADPH-flavin oxidoreductase.
Journal ArticleDOI

Genomics, Exometabolomics, and Metabolic Probing Reveal Conserved Proteolytic Metabolism of Thermoflexus hugenholtzii and Three Candidate Species From China and Japan.

TL;DR: A comparative genomic analysis of the draft genome of T. hugenholtzii JAD2T and eight closely related metagenome-assembled genomes (MAGs) from geothermal sites in China, Japan, and the United States is presented in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Complete Genome Sequence of the hyperthermophilic sulfate-reducing bacterium Thermodesulfobacterium geofontis OPF15T

TL;DR: Thermodesulfobacterium geofontis OPF15T was isolated from Obsidian Pool, Yellowstone National Park, and grows optimally at 83°C, and the 1.6-Mb genome sequence was finished at the Joint Genome Institute and has been deposited for future genomic studies pertaining to microbial processes and nutrient cycles in high-temperature environments.
