Risk factors for Epstein-Barr virus-related post-transplant lymphoproliferative disease after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
Michael Uhlin,Helena Wikell,Mikael Sundin,Ola Blennow,Markus Maeurer,Olle Ringdén,Jacek Winiarski,Per Ljungman,Mats Remberger,Jonas Mattsson +9 more
TL;DR: The study identifies patients at risk of post-transplant lymphoproliferative disease after transplantation in need of pre-emptive measures and identifies patients with long-term survival problems despite initial successful treatment.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied the risk factors for adverse outcomes in patients with hematological malignancies (HM) who developed COVID-19 and analyzed predictors of mortality.

TL;DR: Overall survival (OS) and transplant-related mortality (TRM) improved significantly in the more recent periods, with the best results during the last period (2006-2009) and a 100-day TRM of 5.5%.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated safety and efficacy of BNT162b2 mRNA vaccination in five selected groups of immunocompromised patients and healthy controls and found that the vaccine was safe.
Journal ArticleDOI
Incidence, risk factors, and outcome of bloodstream infections during the pre-engraftment phase in 521 allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantations.
Ola Blennow,Per Ljungman,Per Ljungman,Elda Sparrelid,Jonas Mattsson,Jonas Mattsson,Mats Remberger,Mats Remberger +7 more
TL;DR: Bloodstream infection after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) is a well‐known complication during the pre‐engraftment phase and knowledge of trends in etiology and antibiotic susceptibility of BSI is important as the time to effective antibiotic treatment is closely associated with survival in bacteremic patients with septic shock.
