Journal ArticleDOI
Tumor regressions observed in patients with metastatic melanoma treated with an antigenic peptide encoded by gene MAGE-3 and presented by HLA-A1
Marie Marchand,N van Baren,N van Baren,P. Weynants,P. Weynants,Vincent Brichard,Vincent Brichard,Vincent Brichard,Brigitte Dreno,M H Tessier,E Rankin,Giorgio Parmiani,Flavio Arienti,Yves Humblet,A Bourlond,Romain Vanwijck,Danielle Lienard,Marc Beauduin,Pierre-Yves Dietrich,Vincenzo Russo,Joseph Kerger,Giuseppe Masucci,Elke Jäger,J. P. De Greve,J Atzpodien,Francis Brasseur,Francis Brasseur,Pierre Coulie,P. van der Bruggen,P. van der Bruggen,Thierry Boon,Thierry Boon +31 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that injection of the MAGE‐3.A1 peptide induced tumor regression in a significant number of the patients, even though no massive CTL response was produced.
Journal ArticleDOI
Multipeptide immune response to cancer vaccine IMA901 after single-dose cyclophosphamide associates with longer patient survival
Steffen Walter,Toni Weinschenk,Arnulf Stenzl,Romuald Zdrojowy,Anna Pluzanska,Cezary Szczylik,Michael Staehler,Wolfram Brugger,Pierre-Yves Dietrich,Regina Mendrzyk,Norbert Hilf,Oliver Schoor,Jens Fritsche,Andrea Mahr,Dominik Maurer,Verona Vass,Claudia Trautwein,Peter Lewandrowski,Christian Flohr,Heike Pohla,Janusz J. Stanczak,Vincenzo Bronte,Susanna Mandruzzato,Tilo Biedermann,Graham Pawelec,Evelyna Derhovanessian,Hisakazu Yamagishi,Tsuneharu Miki,Fumiya Hongo,Natsuki Takaha,Kosei Hirakawa,Hiroaki Tanaka,Stefan Stevanovic,Jurgen Frisch,Andrea Mayer-Mokler,Alexandra Kirner,Hans-Georg Rammensee,Carsten Reinhardt,Harpreet Singh-Jasuja +38 more
TL;DR: Among six predefined populations of myeloid-derived suppressor cells, two were prognostic for overall survival, and among over 300 serum biomarkers, apolipoprotein A-I (APOA1) and chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 17 (CCL17) as being predictive for both immune response to IMA901 and overall survival are identified.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clinical Trial Substantiates the Predictive Value of O-6-Methylguanine-DNA Methyltransferase Promoter Methylation in Glioblastoma Patients Treated with Temozolomide
Monika E. Hegi,Annie Claire Diserens,Sophie Godard,Pierre-Yves Dietrich,Luca Regli,Sandrine Ostermann,Philippe Otten,Guy van Melle,Nicolas de Tribolet,Nicolas de Tribolet,Roger Stupp +10 more
TL;DR: The association of the epigenetic inactivation of the DNA repair gene MGMT with better outcome in this homogenous cohort may have important implications for the design of future trials and supports efforts to deplete MGMT by O-6-benzylguanine, a noncytotoxic substrate of this enzyme.
Journal ArticleDOI
Stem Cell–Related “Self-Renewal” Signature and High Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor Expression Associated With Resistance to Concomitant Chemoradiotherapy in Glioblastoma
Anastasia Murat,Eugenia Migliavacca,Thierry Gorlia,Wanyu L. Lambiv,Tal Shay,Marie-France Hamou,Nicolas de Tribolet,Luca Regli,Wolfgang Wick,Mathilde C.M. Kouwenhoven,Johannes A. Hainfellner,Frank L. Heppner,Pierre-Yves Dietrich,Yitzhak Zimmer,J. Gregory Cairncross,Robert-Charles Janzer,Eytan Domany,Mauro Delorenzi,Roger Stupp,Monika E. Hegi +19 more
TL;DR: This study provides first clinical evidence for the implication of a "glioma stem cell" or "self-renewal" phenotype in treatment resistance of glioblastoma.
Journal ArticleDOI
Actively personalized vaccination trial for newly diagnosed glioblastoma
Norbert Hilf,Sabrina Kuttruff-Coqui,Katrin Frenzel,Valesca Bukur,Stefan Stevanovic,Stefan Stevanovic,Cécile Gouttefangeas,Cécile Gouttefangeas,Michael Platten,Michael Platten,Ghazaleh Tabatabai,Ghazaleh Tabatabai,Valérie Dutoit,Sjoerd H. van der Burg,Per thor Straten,Per thor Straten,Francisco Martínez-Ricarte,Berta Ponsati,Hideho Okada,Ulrik Lassen,Arie Admon,Christian H. TL;DR: In a phase I trial, highly individualized peptide vaccines against unmutated tumour antigens and neoepitopes elicited sustained responses in CD8+ and CD4+ T cells, respectively, in patients with newly diagnosed glioblastoma.
