Silicon-Based Photonic Integration Beyond the Telecommunication Wavelength Range

TL;DR: In this paper, a silicon-based photonic integrated circuit technology for applications beyond the telecommunication wavelength range is discussed, where the strong nonlinearity of silicon combined with the low nonlinear absorption in the mid-infrared is exploited to generate picosecond pulse based supercontinuum sources, optical parametric oscillators and wavelength translators connecting the tele communication wavelength range and the midinfrared.
Journal ArticleDOI

III-V-on-Silicon Photonic Integrated Circuits for Spectroscopic Sensing in the 2-4 μm Wavelength Range.

TL;DR: A compact 2 μm wavelength widely tunable external cavity laser using a silicon photonic IC for the wavelength selective feedback is shown and an on-chip photothermal transducer using a suspended silicon-on-insulator microring resonator used for mid-infrared photothermal spectroscopy is shown.
Journal ArticleDOI

Interface dominated high photocatalytic properties of electrostatic self-assembled Ag2O/TiO2 heterostructure

TL;DR: The interface dominated high UV photocatalytic activity and degraded photoluminescence strength of composite catalyst confirmed the heterostructure effect between Ag( 2)O nanoparticles and TiO(2) nanobelts.
