Junjie Qin,Yingrui Li,Zhiming Cai,Shenghui Li,Jianfeng Zhu,Fan Zhang,Suisha Liang,Wenwei Zhang,Yuanlin Guan,Dongqian Shen,Yangqing Peng,Dongya Zhang,Zhuye Jie,Wenxian Wu,Youwen Qin,Wenbin Xue,Junhua Li,Lingchuan Han,Donghui Lu,Peixian Wu,Yali Dai,Xiaojuan Sun,Zesong Li,Aifa Tang,Shilong Zhong,Xiaoping Li,Weineng Chen,Ran Xu,Mingbang Wang,Qiang Feng,Meihua Gong,Jing Yu,Yanyan Zhang,Ming Zhang,Torben Hansen,Gaston Sanchez,Jeroen Raes,Gwen Falony,Shujiro Okuda,Mathieu Almeida,Emmanuelle Le-chatelier,Pierre Renault,Nicolas Pons,Jean-Michel Batto,Zhaoxi Zhang,Hua Chen,Ruifu Yang,Wei-Mou Zheng,Songgang Li,Huanming Yang,Jian Wang,S. Dusko Ehrlich,Rasmus Nielsen,Oluf Pedersen,Oluf Pedersen,Karsten Kristiansen,Jun Wang +56 more
TL;DR: MGWAS analysis showed that patients with type 2 diabetes were characterized by a moderate degree of gut microbial dysbiosis, a decrease in the abundance of some universal butyrate-producing bacteria and an increase in various opportunistic pathogens, as well as an enrichment of other microbial functions conferring sulphate reduction and oxidative stress resistance.
Journal ArticleDOI
The oral and gut microbiomes are perturbed in rheumatoid arthritis and partly normalized after treatment

TL;DR: Altered alterations in the gut, dental or saliva microbiome distinguished individuals with RA from healthy controls, were correlated with clinical measures and could be used to stratify individuals on the basis of their response to therapy.
Journal ArticleDOI
1,520 reference genomes from cultivated human gut bacteria enable functional microbiome analyses.
Yuanqiang Zou,Wenbin Xue,Guangwen Luo,Ziqing Deng,Panpan Qin,Ruijin Guo,Haipeng Sun,Yan Xia,Suisha Liang,Ying Dai,Daiwei Wan,Rongrong Jiang,Lili Su,Qiang Feng,Zhuye Jie,Tongkun Guo,Zhongkui Xia,Liu Chuan,Yu Jinghong,Yuxiang Lin,Shanmei Tang,Guicheng Huo,Xun Xu,Yong Hou,Xin Liu,Jian Wang,Huanming Yang,Karsten Kristiansen,Junhua Li,Huijue Jia,Liang Xiao +30 more
TL;DR: A collection of 1,520 nonredundant, high-quality draft genomes generated from >6,000 bacteria cultivated from fecal samples of healthy humans, chosen to cover all major bacterial phyla and genera in the human gut.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dynamic changes in the bacterial community in Moutai liquor fermentation process characterized by deep sequencing
Wang Li,Yayu Wang,Wang Diqiang,Jin Xu,Fan Yang,Guang Liu,Dongya Zhang,Qiang Feng,Liang Xiao,Wenbin Xue,Jing Guo,Yuzhen Li,Tao Jin +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the bacterial communities of the three key phases from Moutai liquor production were profiled with the Illumina sequencing platform, and a total of 54 bacterial families were detected and the microbial structure showed clear differences among samples.
Journal ArticleDOI
Characterization and description of Faecalibacterium butyricigenerans sp. nov. and F. longum sp. nov., isolated from human faeces.
Yuanqiang Zou,Xiaoqian Lin,Wenbin Xue,Li Tuo,Ming-Sheng Chen,Xiao-Hui Chen,Cheng-Hang Sun,Fei-Na Li,Shao-Wei Liu,Ying Dai,Karsten Kristiansen,Liang Xiao +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, two novel anaerobes, designated strains AF52-21T and CM04-06T, were isolated from faeces of two healthy Chinese donors and characterized using a polyphasic approach.
