Ying Sun, +1 more
TL;DR: Zhang et al. as discussed by the authors explored the intention to purchase single-use plastic products based on the theory of planned behavior, and found that attitude, perceived behavioral control, normative social influence, informational social influence and positive anticipated emotion positively affect intention to buy single use plastic products.

Do hotel guests act according to their intentions as it relates to sustainability in a hotel setting

TL;DR: In this article, the authors assess hotel guests' values and intentions for sustainable hotels, and compare how this aligns with their actual behavior during check-in, finding no significant differences.

What Triggers You to Buy Green Products? Explaining Through an Extended TPB Model

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors identify the significant factors that affect a consumer's decision to purchase green products by employing an extended theory of planned behavior model that includes attitude towards brand, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, digital communication, and environmental concern.

Smart design of energy-saving and water-saving facilities: a perspective of emotional factors

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors investigated the attitudes of employees toward using energy-saving and water-saving facilities by constructing a questionnaire based on the ABC (Affect, Behavior, Cognition) model to survey the attitude of employees from the Southern and Eastern of Taiwan and establishing a structural equation modeling (SEM) to examine the relationship between affect, behavior and cognition while using energy saving and water saving facilities.

The theory of planned behavior

TL;DR: Ajzen, 1985, 1987, this article reviewed the theory of planned behavior and some unresolved issues and concluded that the theory is well supported by empirical evidence and that intention to perform behaviors of different kinds can be predicted with high accuracy from attitudes toward the behavior, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control; and these intentions, together with perceptions of behavioral control, account for considerable variance in actual behavior.

Efficacy of the Theory of Planned Behaviour: a meta-analytic review.

TL;DR: A quantitative integration and review of research on the Theory of Planned Behaviour and the subjective norm, which found that intentions and self-predictions were better predictors of behaviour than attitude, subjective norm and PBC.
