Abstract
When a meta-analysis on results from experimental studies is conducted, differences in the study design must be taken into consideration. A method for combining results across independent-groups and repeated measures designs is described, and the conditions under which such an analysis is appropriate are discussed. Combining results across designs requires that (a) all effect sizes be transformed into a common metric, (b) effect sizes from each design estimate the same treatment effect, and (c) meta-analysis procedures use design-specific estimates of sampling variance to reflect the precision of the effect size estimates.

The Robust Reliability of Neuropsychological Measures: Meta-Analyses of Test–Retest Correlations

TL;DR: The meta-analytic test–retest reliabilities of the test scores ranged from adequate to high and the reliability values were largely robust across factors such as age, clinical diagnosis, and the use of alternate forms.

Effects of Stress on Decisions Under Uncertainty: A Meta-Analysis.

TL;DR: It is concluded that stress deteriorates overall decision-making performance through the mechanisms proposed, which differ, depending on the decision situation and the type of stressor, but not on the characteristics of the individuals.

Mean-Level Change in Self-Esteem from Childhood through Adulthood: Meta-Analysis of Longitudinal Studies:

TL;DR: In this paper, a meta-analysis of the mean level of change in self-esteem across the life span was performed, and the results indicated that, despite slimmer self-efficacy, despite the slippage of self-confidence, the change was minimal.
