TLDR
A model which incorporates the physics of dynamic Jahn-Teller and double-exchange effects is presented and solved via a dynamical mean field approximation to reproduce the behavior of the resistivity and magnetic transition temperature observed in Sr_x MnO_3.
Abstract
A model for the doped rare-earth manganites such as ${\mathrm{La}}_{1\ensuremath{-}x}{\mathrm{Sr}}_{x}{\mathrm{MnO}}_{3}$ incorporating the physics of dynamic Jahn-Teller and double-exchange effects is presented and solved via a dynamical mean field approximation. The interplay of these two effects as the electron phonon coupling is varied reproduces the observed behavior of the resistivity and magnetic transition temperature.

A travelling cluster approximation for lattice fermions strongly coupled to classical degrees of freedom

TL;DR: In this paper, the energy cost of a Monte Carlo update is computed from the Hamiltonian of a cluster, of size Nc, constructed around the reference site, and embedded in the larger system.

Far-infrared reflection and transmission of La1−xCaxMnO3

TL;DR: In this article, massive magnetoresistance compounds of composition La1−xCaxMnO3 have been investigated by far-infrared spectroscopy and the spectra are found to be sensitive to processing variables such as precursor composition, processing route, and annealing temperature.

Effects of lattice distortion and Jahn-Teller coupling on the magnetoresistance of La0.7Ca0.3MnO3 and La0.5Ca0.5CoO3 epitaxial films

TL;DR: The lattice polaron conduction associated with the Jahn-Teller coupling is essential for the occurrence of colossal negative magnetoresistance (CMR) in manganites as discussed by the authors.
