Dynamic Jahn-Teller Effect and Colossal Magnetoresistance in La 1-x Sr x MnO 3
TLDR
A model which incorporates the physics of dynamic Jahn-Teller and double-exchange effects is presented and solved via a dynamical mean field approximation to reproduce the behavior of the resistivity and magnetic transition temperature observed in Sr_x MnO_3.Abstract:
A model for the doped rare-earth manganites such as ${\mathrm{La}}_{1\ensuremath{-}x}{\mathrm{Sr}}_{x}{\mathrm{MnO}}_{3}$ incorporating the physics of dynamic Jahn-Teller and double-exchange effects is presented and solved via a dynamical mean field approximation. The interplay of these two effects as the electron phonon coupling is varied reproduces the observed behavior of the resistivity and magnetic transition temperature.read more

Magnetoresistance in ordered and disordered double perovskite oxide, Sr2FeMoO6
D. D. Sarma,E. V. Sampathkumaran,Sugata Ray,R. Nagarajan,Subham Majumdar,Ashwani Kumar,G. Nalini,T. N. Guru Row +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the magnetoresistance of the double perovskite, Sr 2 FeMoO 6, and determined the extent of ordering between the Fe and Mo sites in the two samples by Rietveld analysis of powder X-ray diffraction patterns and reconfirmed by Mossbauer studies.

Nature of small-polaron hopping conduction and the effect of Cr doping on the transport properties of rare-earth manganite La0.5Pb0.5Mn1−xCrxO3
TL;DR: In this article, a small polaron hopping conduction mechanism was used to fit the high temperature (T>θD/2, θD is Debye temperature) conductivity data, both in presence and in absence of magnetic field, with small-parallel hopping mechanism.

Fermi surface nesting and nanoscale fluctuating charge/orbital ordering in colossal magnetoresistive oxides.
TL;DR: High-resolution angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy was used to reveal the Fermi surface and key transport parameters of the metallic state of the layered colossal magnetoresistive oxide La1.2Sr1.8Mn2O7, which produces nanoscale fluctuating charge/orbital modulations which cooperate with Jahn-Teller distortions and compete with the electron itinerancy favored by double exchange.
